Fornatale: How I'll play Aqueduct for Sunday, Nov. 12

It’s been a busy week since Breeders’ Cup – to say the least – but now it’s time to get back to the business of betting. On Sunday’s Aqueduct card, I’m interested in taking a little shot with the double that connects the fourth and fifth races.

Race 4

#10 FILFILA will take all the money off the form to impressive Breeders’ Cup winner Rushing Fall. She stayed on well enough there and looks poised to moved forward in her second career start.

Filfila (#10)

Is coming out of a tough maiden race, won by eventual Breeders’ Cup winner Rushing Fall.

Ran well in her debut despite having to alter course off the inside in the stretch.

Bernier: How I'll play Del Mar on Saturday, Nov. 11

The Breeders’ Cup may have concluded last Saturday at Del Mar, but that doesn’t mean the exciting racing action comes to an end. Saturday’s early pick five looks like an interesting sequence, and I’ll offer up some runners to consider.

Race 3: Giantinthemoonlite (#3)

The Pace Projector is predicting that he will get a fast pace to close into.

Would likely win this race if he repeats his last effort behind the talented Mr. Buff.

Versatile running style allows him to adapt to almost any scenario.

Race 7: Tathqeef (#3)

Last effort was too poor to be a true indicator of his current form.

Positive sign that Kiaran McLaughlin is running him back without a layoff.

BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, November 11, 2017, by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Sort of a quiet week for BreezeFigs maidens but eight graduates did place in a variety of stakes around the country, including one in a Breeders’ Cup race. Our Pick last week, Zip Your Lip, stopped on a dime while our back-up gimmick play, Royal Creed, did finish second at even-money. The seven maiden wins came at Finger Lakes (two), Golden Gate, Gulfstream West (three, including two on the same day), and Hawthorne.

Race 3:
Redhairdon'tcare (#1)

Hinted at having some ability with a fast sales workout earlier this year.

Led all the way to win her debut at Belmont last month, setting a strong pace before tiring late.

DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Tony Dutrow is 6 for 10 (60 percent, $5.13 ROI) with debut winners making their second career starts in dirt sprints.
