Our top Pick last week, Ironwood, was scratched but our “may get into the gimmick picture” Pick Fredonia, came through to compete a $58 trifecta, so the world didn’t end. Overall it was a very good week for BreezeFigs maidens as a dozen of them won across the country at: Aqueduct (BreezeFigs exacta), Charles Town, Fair Grounds, Gulfstream (five, including two BreezeFigs exactas), Sam Houston, Santa Anita and Tampa Bay (two).

Many contest players this weekend will double as road warriors, with brick-and-mortar action in four states: New York, Florida, Nevada, and California.

At the center of the storm is the Horse Player World Series in Vegas, a three-day tournament at the Orleans in Las Vegas that concludes Saturday. Also on Saturday is the $500 live-bank contest at Aqueduct, a strong card featuring two graded stakes in the Tom Fool and Gotham.
