Our gimmick Pix at Gulfstream last week went right out from the gate and fried each other so that only one, Elusive Ro, got into the frame by finishing third. The other Pick, Slydini at Woodbine, was somewhat green but showed promise in getting up for fourth. The highlights of the week were that nine 3-year-old BreezeFigs maidens won, which is encouraging this late in the year; four BreezeFigs 2-year-olds also won.
Race 2:
Major Force (#6)
Overcame a slow pace (indicated by blue color-coded TimeformUS pace figures) to win while rallying from the back last time.
Came home his final quarter-mile in a blazing 21.76 seconds in that last race.
