Ran better than it appears in his only dirt start, as he raced in tight quarters and was too keen before flattening out.

He is getting some needed class relief as he switches back to dirt.

Gets a positive rider switch to Irad Ortiz.

After getting sandwiched between rivals at the break, he circled wide from the back of the pack to finish a solid fourth in the Grade 1 Summer. The Ontario-bred should be competitive in the major fall stakes at Woodbine.

Racing was conducted on only three days last week at Belmont, and the pick six survived all three cards, leading to a carryover of $326,010 when racing resumes on Wednesday.  The sequence begins with race 4 and includes three races on turf and three on dirt.

This 3-year-old sprinter ran super. He chased a fast pace, opened up in the lane, and got collared by a closer. ’Boy fits in an age-restricted claiming race, $12,500 to $20,000.

IROQUOIS
Favored Tight Ten didn’t have a great excuse in the Iroquois for getting run down by 17-1 shot Cairo Cat, though he did finish more than three lengths clear of third-place Pole Setter, while Cairo Cat, through his own encouraging doing, did get a great trip.
