The early pick five (races 1-5) appears to be manageable since you can narrow down most of these races to one or two key contenders. I will take a targeted approach to my ticket construction using the ABC method, which you can try using DRF TicketMaker.
Race 1 – maiden claiming $50,000
There is a $200,000-guaranteed pool for the early pick four and a $300,000-guaranteed pool for the late pick four at Woodbine. In today’s edition of the Daily Racing Form, Byron King breaks down the late pick four, which begins with the $1 million Queen’s Plate, so here’s a look at the early one.
Race 1: Red Right Hand (#4)
Raced wide against a strong rail bias on May 19 and still stayed on well for second.
Was compromised by a fast pace when he made his first start off the layoff at Keeneland in April.
Showed that he was capable of better when earning a 105 TimeformUS Speed Figure in the spring of 2018.

Our hot 2-year-old Pick was scratched last Saturday but came back the next day to gallop and pay a miniscule three bucks—but hey, if you remembered what we said, you might have scored. As for our 3-year-old Pick, he was prominently placed but didn’t look like he was ready to kick at any point and finished fourth. There were eight 2-year-old BreezeFigs maidens that won last week, which means the season is really heating up. The wins came at Arlington, Belmont, Churchill (three), Gulfstream, Parx and Santa Anita.
Race 6: Crackspeed (#3)
Was far too keen in the early stages last time, running off on the lead through fast fractions.
Should appreciate the slight cutback in distance to 10 furlongs.
The Pace Projector is predicting that he will be the controlling speed again, and front-runners have become very dangerous on the Belmont turf.

NEW YORK – The Summit of Speed at Gulfstream, a stakes doubleheader at Belmont, three stakes on the closing day program at Churchill Downs, and the Queen’s Plate card at Woodbine top an eclectic day of stakes racing on Saturday.
Race 6: So Charming (#4)
Has run two of her best races over Belmont’s inner turf course.
Made up a lot of ground to be third last time in a race that did not set up for closers.
Should appreciate this nine-furlong distance more than some of her rivals.
