TimeformUS Belmont Horses in Focus for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019

Race 1: Dan’s Girl (#2)

Sprint specialist was facing a much stronger field last time at Timonium in a two-turn race.

Has been training at Laurel, so has probably not been in this new barn for very long.

The Pace Projector is predicting that she will be on the lead in a “No Speed” scenario.

Race 2: Coolboy (#7)

The only experienced horse with speed in a race full of plodders who will be shorter prices.

Has earned legitimate TimeformUS Speed Figures in all of his recent dirt starts while facing tougher fields.

Should appreciate the slight turnback in distance.

TimeformUS Belmont Horses in Focus for Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019

Race 3: Swamp Rat (#7)

Should get some pace to close into with a few key speeds signed on.

Did not get ideal trips in his last two races when a bit too rank with blinkers, which come off here.

May really appreciate this turnback to a sprint given that he won his debut going six furlongs.

BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, September 28, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Self Taught, the horse we didn’t think could get a call won one of our Pix at Delaware while the ones we liked in that race and the other Pick at Churchill stopped on dimes after contesting the lead early.

Race 2: Bucked Tooth (#2)

The Pace Projector is predicting that he will be on the lead in a "no speed" situation, yet this horse is a front-runner who can take advantage.

Throw out his turf performance last time since that’s just not his preferred surface.

Gets a positive rider switch to Kendrick Carmouche, who can nurse him along on the front end.
