Fairy Diva (GB), our Pick at Aqueduct, wound up in a rodeo of sorts and was lucky to not go down while finishing fourth. Then our Pick at Churchill Fire Coral pooped out early but by then our gimmick play Street of Dreams had wrapped up her victory as the favorite. Split decision. Between then and now, 25 BreezeFigs maidens won last week, a near record for this feature, with seven of them kicking off BreezeFigs gimmicks and an additional seven winning stakes races. Wow.
Saturday's card at Aqueduct features four graded stakes races, led by the Grade 1 Cigar Mile. There is a mandatory payout on the Empire Six and the Cigar Mile is the final race in the six-race sequence, which begins with race 5.

Nope – “championship racing” doesn’t go into hibernation after the Breeders’ Cup.
The Cigar Mile Handicap, the last of six stakes Saturday at Aqueduct, has Eclipse Award ramifications. Maximum Security already is in the conversation for champion 3-year-old and can end that conversation if he wins the Cigar, but that’s no fait accompli.

With racing taken off the turf on Thursday, this becomes a completely different race. However, I’m sticking with the same top pick that I would have chosen in a turf event.
Race 4: Fabulous Fun (#6)
Was touted prior to his Saratoga debut and has trained well for his return this year.
Ran better than it appears last time, making a brief middle move after breaking slowly.
Should be fitter for his second start off the layoff.
