RACE 6: MEZCAL (#1)
The big races mainly come Saturday morning, not Saturday afternoon, since this is QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot in England. The Champion Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II are very spicy, and you should tune in during breakfast or brunch in advance of a limited North American stakes menu later in the day.

Hello You will race as far as a mile for the first time in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on Nov. 5 at Del Mar, and trainer Dave Loughnane thinks the distance will suit her.
Hello You earned a fees-paid berth to the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf with her win in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes on Sept. 24 at Newmarket. The victory was Hello You’s first in a stakes.
Loughnane said the seven-furlong Rockfel should have Hello You well prepared to stretch out a furlong in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf.
The last time the Breeders’ Cup was in California, trainer Todd Pletcher got his first win in the Classic, with Vino Rosso. He is desirous of having two runners in this year’s race at Del Mar, but as the Nov. 6 race approaches, the chances of Dr Post and Happy Saver making the Classic may be withering on the vine.

Our 2-year-old Pick last week showed promise in her debut and managed to fill out the Super, but both of our 3-year-old Pix showed speed but no quality, so there you go. There were 17 2-year-old BreezeFigs maidens who won during the week, quite a haul, indeed, at: Century Mile, Churchill (two), Gulfstream (five, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Laurel (two), Parx (BreezeFigs trifecta), Penn, Remington (two), Santa Anita (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), and Woodbine.
