Where’s Joey, our 3-year-old Pick last week, gave us some palpitations all the way but had to settle for completing the trifecta and squeezing into the superfecta. The 2-year-old race at Keeneland was rained off the turf and our choice was scratched.
Breeders’ Cup looms, but in the nearer term there’s plenty of stakes racing coast to coast this fourth Saturday in October. Good-sized fields abound, too, with a relatively dry national forecast for the turf lovers. Let’s get to it.
