Sorry ‘bout that, we put the wrong race number in on our Pick last week and after our choice got bumped at the start she did her best to keep up finishing in a tight photo for second but only managed to complete the super by finishing fourth.

The 20-cent jackpot pick six at Santa Anita paid $12,164 to 354 ticketholders on Sunday, the final day of the track’s autumn meeting and a day with a mandatory payout.

The bet had a carryover of $796,177 from Saturday. Bettors added $4,593,444, slightly less than the $5 million projected by track officials.

While our Pick last week decided she really didn’t want to participate, it is ironic that our Pick of the week before, Where’s Joey, slipped off to Parx and broke his maiden during the week easily. He was one of three 3-year-old BreezeFigs maidens to win during the week—the other two were at Belmont and Gulfstream. The juvenile maidens piled up 15 victories, six of them kicking off BreezeFigs exactas (one each at Belmont, Delaware, Gulfstream, Keeneland, Parx and Santa Anita).

Kenny Peck's Belmont Pick 6 Play for Saturday, October 30

Total handle on the Belmont Stakes card was $112.7 million, a record for a non-Triple Crown Belmont card.

Kenny Peck provides his analysis, selections and suggested ticket structure for Saturday's Pick 6 at Belmont.

RACE 5: FOOLISH GHOST (#3) gets back to 6 1/2 furlongs in the Hudson Handicap, and the effort he turned in three back at this distance makes him easy to like, the sloppy strip notwithstanding. The horse to beat, however, is NY TRAFFIC (#8); he is known for his work routing but that win over this strip at seven furlongs back in May gives him strong credibility.
