Barbara D. Livingston
Richard Mandella will try to win his first Kentucky Oaks with 2-year-old champion filly Beholder on Friday.

Richard Mandella likes to think of himself as a man of the world. Or at least a man of the Thoroughbred racing world. The California native has run horses in the Orient, the Middle East, and South America. He has won major races in New York, Florida, Kentucky, and Chicago.
