Zenyatta heavy favorite in early Classic betting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Zenyatta is the heavy favorite in advance wagering and in will-pays for the two-day daily double wager combining the winners of the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic on Friday and the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday at Churchill Downs.

In advance betting for the Classic, and with $138,680 in the win pool, Zenyatta was 3-5, followed by Lookin At Lucky (9-2), Blame (8-1), and Quality Road (12-1).

In the two-day double, which started with the 7-1 winner of the Ladies’ Classic, Unbridled Belle (No. 8), a $2 combination ending with Zenyatta (No. 8) would return $42.20.

Also, in the win-only BC Jockey Bet, the “field,” the 16th or all others option, closed as the even-money favorite on betting of $111,120. “Field” jockeys won three of the six Friday races.
