Zealous Vision, Air Assault win statebred stakes
It was a big night for Center Hills Farm on Friday at Remington Park.
Center Hills was the breeder of the winners of both Oklahoma-bred stakes on the card, with Zealous Vision accounting for the $50,000 Te Ata and Air Assault taking the $50,000 Tishomingo. Center Hills also co-owns Zealous Vision.
In the Te Ata, Zealous Vision ($3.60) closed from last for a head win over Rich Uncle. It was another 2 3/4 lengths back to Dancing Diva in third. Zealous Vision, who trailed through an opening half-mile in 47.01 seconds, went on to finish the seven-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies in 1:25.24.
Bryan McNeil rode the winner for trainer Scott Young. Center Hills races Zealous Vision in partnership with Big Sugar Racing. The filly is a daughter of The Visualiser.
Air Assault ($4.80) rallied for a one-length win over Mustang Eddie in the Tishomingo. He finished the seven-furlong race for 3-year-olds in 1:23.34.
Luis Quinonez was aboard for owner and trainer Charles Abernathy. Air Assault is a son of Air Commander.
