Yoursmineours game in Lorelei win

Bossier City, La. - Yoursmineours outdueled Josie G. in a spirited pace battle Sunday afternoon to win the $50,000 Lorelei Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

Don Pettinger set a lively pace on board Yoursmineours ($4.60) while holding a narrow advantage closest to the rail. After a half in :47.11 and three quarters in 1:12.45, he opened up a slightly larger lead when straightened for home then held off one final challenge from the runner up to prevail by three quarters of a length in a time of 1:46.96 over a drying out strip labeled as good.

Longshot Lucky Tunnel reported home third followed by Outright Buck.

The winner is owned by Stan Burnstein and Jim Nelson with Donnie Von Hemel handling the training chores. The win was Yoursmineours' fifth in a dozen starts and the 3-year-old daughter of Belong to Me has now earned just under $130,000.
