Your So Sillea won the $125,000 Twin Bridges Stakes in a laugher on Monday at Ellis Park.
Leading most of the six-furlong trip under Jareth Loveberry, Your So Sillea’s fifth win from 19 starts marked her first in stakes competition – and it wasn’t close.
Setting splits of 22.53 and 45.10 over a fast track, Your So Sillea took a clear lead into the homestretch and widened it to the wire, capturing the Twin Bridges by 5 1/2 lengths over Swall, who was one length better than third-place American Band.
With The easy win hardly was unexpected, Your So Sillea paying just $3.08 while clocking 1:10.28. Nonviolence, who would have been no worse than second choice, was scratched.
Trained by Philip Sims, homebred Your So Sillea campaigns for Constance Schuble. Your So Sillea is by Lea out of Miss E on the Qt, by E Dubai. The $76,380 winner’s share of the purse catapulted her earnings well over a half-million dollars.
