Youbet adds Magna signals

Youbet.com, the online account-wagering company, has reached an agreement with Magna Entertainment Corp. to simulcast races from all of Magna's tracks during 2006. Youbet's customers can now watch and wager on races from Magna-owned tracks, which include Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park, Pimlico, Golden Gate Fields, and Lone Star Park.

The agreement was reached Friday and took effect Monday with the start of the Santa Anita meeting. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Magna has its own online betting platform, XpressBet, and simulcasts races from its tracks on the television channel HRTV.

About a month ago, Youbet.com reached an agreement to buy United Tote, one of the four bet-processing companies in the U.S., in a transaction valued at $49 million.
