Yonkers: Tuesday 5/7 Analysis

Best Bet: QUINCY BLUE CHIP (7th)
Spot Play: SCARLET CHASER (1st)
MEET STATS: 150 - 420 / $764.20 (-$75.80)
BEST BETS: 22 - 36 / $65.80 (-$6.20)
Race 1
(6) SCARLET CHASER was a no-match third best to a couple of good ones last out and he gets to face a bit weaker here while retaining Bartlett; expect some early speed. (1) CHEYENNE FORD was racing decently up at Mohawk versus bottom-level claimers and the veteran should fit well here, especially from the best post; that 15/1 morning line is ridiculous. (4) ROCKIN PANDA drops back in for a tag, well below what he was claimed for a couple of months ago, but it's not like he's been awful for his current connections; he should be a player here.
Race 2
I can't believe it's Sire Stakes season already! (4) STELLA JANE had a very good two-year-old campaign including a big win in the Kindergarten at The Meadowlands and she looks ready to go off those qualifiers. (1) SWEET CHAPTER freshened up nicely north of the border and looks like a prime contender here. (3) HANNA DREAMGIRL is another filly making her three-year-old debut off a couple of willing qualifiers; Sears drives.
Race 3
(3) CONWAY KELLYANNE had some nice efforts here as a freshman for Norris and she should certainly be tighter coming off that effort at Pocono; I suspect she may be heading to the front tonight. (6) SENSIBILITY raced very well to hit the board in the NYSS Final here last September and the well-mannered filly looks like she'll be on the move early as well. (5) WITH OUT A DOUBT was also a NYSS finalist as a two-year-old and she looked much better in that second qualifier.
Race 4
(1) SUCCESSFUL OUTLOOK draws best here versus some very questionable foes and she should be on the lead or stalking from the two-hole; worth a play in this tough-to-figure event. (2) TREVOR Z TAM ships up from Rosecroft and joins the Carmine Fusco barn, which has been pretty live since resurfacing at Yonkers; watch the board for clues. (4 FANTICIPATION is one of many in here with little form but is capable of showing better; Stratton's choice.
Race 5
In a tough race to figure where you can make a case for practically anyone, I'll take a look at (4) JENNY LAKE. Filly had breaking issues in her brief two-year-old campaign but she returned this season with the hobbles off and has looked pretty good. Consider at what should be a decent price. (2) DEW CAN DEW raced well in her seasonal debut at Sararoga and she gets Jimmy Morrill in the bike tonight. (5) JUMALAY MASS should be ready to go off those three qualifiers for the Erv Miller barn.
Race 6
(1) CRYSTALLINE should be well-prepped for her seasonal debut coming from good connections and she draws best in this competitive and well-balanced affair. (5) EV'S GIRL is another who may be ready at first asking for Team Miller but she did break in an appearance here last summer. (6) BARN BLAZE hails from a small barn that's had plenty of success in the NYSS over the years.
Race 7
(3) QUINCY BLUE CHIP has tightened with two solid efforts out of town and that may well give her the edge over her returning rivals. (5) WINNDEVIE was the NYSS champ last year defeating the top choice in the process and I'm sure Smedshammer has her ready to go. (6) AMAL HALL is another that performed very well here last season and she qualified in behind both a speedy pacer and the Dexter Cup winner.
Race 8
(5) GOLDEN KRONOS is a proven winner at this level and getting Sears back can't hurt; he should be forwardly placed from this spot in this oversized field. (4) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR has been a bit better in his last couple and historically he's had success in this barn. (2) SHOWMEYOURGUNS drops for the third straight week and is overdue to awaken.
Race 9
(6) FEEL THE NEED A has come up big in his last three local starts since moving back to the DiDomenico barn but hasn't broken through with a win yet; veteran is overdue. (4) STARSKY'S DREAM N rallied very well last week to be third best to the well-rated frontrunners. (1) TOWNSLIGHT HANOVER goes to another new barn via claim and gets a catch-driver back in the bike.
Race 10
(2) CLEAR IDEA hasn't been at her best recently but she finds a softer spot while adding Dave Miller. (1) BEST OF JENNA gets much-needed post relief and promises to be more involved. (3) BROWN BRINNY has just two wins over the last two seasons and while she raced very well last week, she came up short again; still a contender for the top spot, however.
Race 11
(4) TRIPLE SEELSTER showed solid early speed last week and has a post edge on his main rivals here; no reason to think Zeron won't fire to the front from this spot. (6) GALACTIC GALLEON N was a good second last week but he's another who's the camera-shy type and the post doesn't really help but this veteran should be a contender here. (5) BIG JER has seen better days but he gets Dave Miller on the catch-drive and should be able to land a share.
