Race 1
(5) MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING was aggressively handled in those last two at The Meadowlands and the Vallee-trained veteran has always proven a good fit with this type; he could offer some value in this tough-to-figure opener. (1) SOCK IT AWAY has been a disappointment since arriving from Canada; let's see if he can show more here. (4) TWOMACSONESHADOW hasn't done much recently but he does return with a bit of class relief.
Race 2
(2) LUMINOSITY is clearly not what he once was but it's hard to completely dismiss this classy Burke trainee; worth a shot if the price is decent. (3) KINETIC KING returns locally off a sharp win at Pocono. (1) NEWCASTLE figures to go as far and as fast as he can from this spot.
Race 3
(1) REACH FOR INFINITY gets a very interesting barn change to Carmine Fusco, draws best and was Brennan's choice. (4) TOWNSLIGHT HANOVER returns locally with some needed class relief. (2) I FOUND MY BEACH has paced evenly in his last two for Garcia-Herrera and he figures to be close up throughout.
Race 4
(4) WINNERESS finished up very willingly last week from the rear and ended up third at a huge price; post relief will get him in play earlier. (1) IN MY DREAMS took the money but broke upon arrival in his debut for the DiDomenico barn; I assume he'll be a player if he minds his manners. (3) CRITICAL MASS has been a hot commodity since moving into claimers and he goes for Allard tonight.
Race 5
(5) ONE OF THE FEW held pretty well late after an uncovered trip into the odds-on winner; DiDomenico trainee recently added Lasix and should be followed. (3) RICH AND MISERABLE was Bartlett's choice over a Banca trainee...interesting. (7) FASHION CREDITOR is post-compromised here but he's been racing very well and gets a very interesting driver change to Dube; use at a price.
Race 6
(5) SWANSEA has done nothing wrong since hitting town and he figures to be tough to reel in once he clears the lead. (6) CHASIN' DREAMS has been very sharp and is tough to ignore but the likely off-the-pace trip may make things more difficult tonight. (7) JOEY BATS added the hobbles last week and stormed home for the win; will the Andrew Harris trainee have too much ground to cover tonight from the worst post? Maybe.
Race 7
(4) HENDERSON SEELSTER was a solid second last week to a sharp winner, proving that he can clearly go with this type; improving Paul Stafford trainee looks like the one to beat tonight. (8) WHETHER OR NOT FI is clearly loaded with talent but the eight hole is a tough spot to overcome. (5) TAKE A WISH picks up Stratton tonight and will be a price; include underneath.
Race 8
(3) HEEZ ORL BLACK N should be on the move early in this bulky field and he could be cutting this mile or sitting right off the pace; veteran still seems capable of getting the job done. (4) BET ON BRITT closed very willingly last week and the Allard trainee will appreciate the post relief. (6) THE LUNCH PAIL drops back to the NW10000 level and he should be gaining late for a piece.
Race 9
(1) MACH IT A PAR clearly hasn't come back that strong this season but he's very tough to ignore from this spot; short price looming. (2) SHEZ SUGARSWEET A also gets some class relief and will be close up, but she needs to show more late. (5) AMATEUR HOUR had no excuse to fail last week at 1/5 odds; clearly the price will be much better if you want to stay on board.
Race 10
(3) SUNKEN TREASURE has been racing better of late and was a nice winner three back at this level; Temming trainee should be a live price in this very competitive finale. (4) TIME OUT I'M TIRED still has something to prove with this type but he's been sharp; Bartlett picks up the drive. (2) MIDWAY ISLAND returns for Burke off a win at Pocono but beware as he's burned money here in the past.
