Yonkers: Tuesday 4/30 Analysis

Best Bet: DON DOMINGO N (8th)

Spot Play: WISHY WASHY GIRL (4th)

MEET STATS: 141 - 400 / $716.20 (-$83.80)

BEST BETS: 20 - 34 / $60.40 (-$8.60)

Race 1

(6) TOMITTA BAYAMA caved in under increasing pressure upon arrival from Canada for DiDomenico; he drops in class, faces a soft bunch and deserves another chance. (2) MISTER TRUTH sure is popular at the claim box for a horse that never wins; veteran now goes for the Robertson barn, which always does well at the claiming game, and the inside post will set him up with a live trip. (7) RECORD MACHINE returns from Ohio and should fit well with these; only problem here is the outside post.

Race 2

(1) AMATEUR HOUR hasn't been at her best recently but she lands the best post here in a very soft field and should have no excuses. (3) KEENE OLIVIA tried it from off the pace last week and was a solid upset winner. This is an enticing spot to leave the gate, however, so it will be interesting to see how Brennan plays it. (5) ROYAL KNOCKOUT is a hard-knocking veteran who rarely wins but she should come out of this race with a nice paycheck.

Race 3

(4) GALACTIC GALLEON N doesn't have the prettiest-looking lines but he's been facing much better recently from tough spots; veteran fits with this type and may be ignored in the wagering. (1) WINSTON will be much more involved tonight given the class and post relief. (5) ASTON HILL DAVE hasn't done a whole lot this season but we know he's much capable of better.

Race 4

(6) WISHY WASHY GIRL lands an outside post again but the Banca trainee can fire from the gate, which is exactly what I would expect Bartlett to be doing. (1) MOTU MOONBEAM N is another Blumenfeld trainee on the card that takes a meaningful drop in class while drawing best; major player. (4) NEWSDAY seems to have some talent and the 4-year-old will show more when she finds her proper level.

Race 5

In a tough race to figure, (4) IL MAGO takes a needed drop in class and was a winner versus this type a couple a months ago; Brennan chose the DiDomenico trainee and he gets a weak vote here. (1) BARN BELLA just hasn't looked that great since returning locally; use caution. (8) BARRY BLACK burned money last week but Bartlett sticks and he will be a much better price this time around.

Race 6

(1) MASTER THE VIEW dropped in for a tag last week and was snatched up by Banca; gelding drops to the NW5000 level, lands the best post, picks up Bartlett and is clearly one to watch, though he will offer little value. (5) CATCHA LEFTY A gives Yonkers another try off a series of good efforts versus the best Monticello has to offer. (2) KENRICK N wasn't bad last week and can hang around for a share tonight.

Race 7

(1) SEELEY MAN came back strong from the layoff and the bump up in class doesn't concern me; speedy gelding will look to take these coast-to-coast again. (4) UF ROCKIN DRAGON was a decent winner at this level last week when Bartlett got aboard; threat. (2) DIAMOND COWBOY has been a steady commodity in all recent and will be close up throughout from this post.

Race 8

(2) DON DOMINGO N had just moderate success in the Levy and then closed a ton last week from the eight hole; import looks very solid from this inside post for the killer Stratton/Hudson tandem. (4) NOCTURNAL BLUECHIP is another Levy refugee who will appreciate facing softer. (1) MACH DEJA VU returns locally after having some success out of town versus lesser and he was Bartlett's choice over a Banca trainee.

Race 9

(6) HIGH BLUE was claimed by Allard last out which makes for an interesting barn/driver change angle; consider him if the price is healthy. (3) BINGO QUEEN has been a player at this level for years and as usual, if she behaves herself, she'll come out of this race with a nice share. (4) CRITICAL MASS has raced well in his last two after being reclaimed by Abbatiello.

Race 10

(2) LONDON SEELSTER ships in to Yonkers, now for new connections (the aforementioned Stratton/Hudson pairing), and good things can be expected right off the bat. (4) AMERICANFIREWATER failed last week at 40 cents on the dollar; he's probably the one to beat again but it's tough to bet him with any confidence. (1) AMERICAN VENTURE has been very disappointing; he's got to wake up eventually, no?
