Best Bet: TRUMP THAT (6th)
Spot Play: ROCK THE NITE (10th)
MEET STATS: 47 - 227 / $281.90
BEST BETS: 5 - 20 / $38.30
Race 1
(5) SCARLET CHASER seems to be knocking at the door based on his last two starts. At his best he can top these. (2) MISTER TRUTH is making his 2019 debut off a good qualifier here on 2/22; threat. (8) ROCK ICON was second best last time around; post hurts but he is capable.
Race 2
(4) BETTER CALL SAUL broke at the quarter pole and lost all chance last time out. Trotter can make a quick turnaround against this weak group of trotters. (3) BIG BILL BREEZE flashed good early trot against better last time around; main danger. (1) BROADWAY PROMISE comes by way of the Meadowlands, draws the rail and Brennan has the assignment; watch out.
Race 3
(2) CHEESE MELT was sent down the road in his latest for the victory. Pacer can take this with a repeat effort. (4) FIESTY FIREBALL was nailed for win honors in his last try; must be considered in all the exotic slots. (6) BETTOR THAN SPRING broke to the quarter pole as the chalk as he was going for his fourth in a row; not out of this.
Race 4
(5) SHARP ACTION MONEY will try to get the job done on the half-mile oval and he does have tactical speed; gets the call. (1) WILD BILL gets post relief and that should help his cause. (6) COOL BLUES MAN has not raced badly in his last four tries so he must be considered in the exotic picture.
Race 5
Canadian invader (3) FOOT SOLDIER was a game second in his latest. Now he will attempt to make tonight a winning one here and will get the services of Bartlett. (2) P L LESTER was on the engine on his way to an easy victory last time out; big factor. (1) ON ACCIDENT is clearly knocking at the door based on his last three outings; dangerous from the rail.
Race 6
(1) TRUMP THAT made a big move at the half-mile pole but tired in the stretch run in his Meadowlands finale. Moves now to Yonkers and draws the fence; the one to deny. (2) MODERN ROCK AS can make some serious noise if he can get a favorable trip. (3) YEAHNAH closed well to grab the placing in his last start; can have a say in the outcome.
Race 7
(3) LANDONFITZ moves down in class and gets post relief. If the veteran trotter is at his best he could greet the cameraman for pictures. (6) MIGHTY SURF raced well for the show spot last time out; fits with this group. (8) POWERFUL YIELD comes off a victory against lesser company recently; could be in the mix despite the move to the far outside slot.
Race 8
(1) ARABELLA J was took them all the way for the score in her last try. Pacing mare gets the rail slot so with another repeat effort the rest will have to settle for minor awards. (7) MASSIVE ATTACK A rallied strongly to land the show spot at big odds recently; threat. (5) CAREER FAMILY can be right in the swing of things with a favorable trip.
Race 9
(2) LUCKSLST BLUEGRASS gets serious post relief and the pacing gelding does have the positional speed to grab an ideal stalking trip; using. (5) P H SUPERCAM was late on the scene to get up in time for the place spot last time around; consider. (7) THATS MY OPINION is knocking at the door based on his last two trips to the post; watch out.
Race 10
(6) ROCK THE NITE has been very sharp in his last two tries and his latest was against tougher. Has every right to be the boss over this group with a well-judged run. (4) MAGRITTE put in a good effort for win honors last out; could contend despite the rise in class. (5) BADIX HANOVER has early speed but he could rate in this event; do not overlook.
Race 11
(2) NOBLE WARRAWEE gets the luck of the draw and veteran could wake up against these if the right trip comes his way. (4) BOINGANTOR just missed the victory last time out by a neck; dangerous. (7) ZAGSTER has been facing Open foes upstate and he does have success at Yonkers so he must be considered.
Race 12
Will give (2) ZACH MAGUIRE N a shot to put it all together. Pacer gets a solid post and he has good speed. Can top these if he is at his best. Freehold invader (4) ARQUE HANOVER is seeking his first score of the year and he does fit with this group. (3) CAVIART SKYLER closed well for the show spot in his last trip to the post. Gets a better post so he is clearly not out of this.
