Race 1 – M LIFE REWARDS Pacing Series

(7) SEMI TOUGH has two wins over this surface in overnight events from last December and I suppose the Burke trainee is the one to beat here even from the outside post, but there’s no show wagering in here?? My goodness… (4) MARCO BEACH loses Kakaley to the top choice but Bongiorno is a worthy substitute and he arrives off a win at Pocono. (8) CAVIART STETSON seems to have ability for top connections; eight hole hurts. (3) APEX SEELSTER has some good local efforts and the Allard trainee should be a player here.

Race 2 – NW10000 in last 5 starts

(7) ABBIE’S CELTICLASS has three on-the-board finishes since arriving at Yonkers, all at good prices. She lands a poor post again but this field has plenty of question marks and the mare will offer good value again. (3) INUKCHUK CHUCK faced better here two back and he should be on the move early. (4) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR looks for three straight; the favorite? (6) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME races well in the Allard barn but was claimed out of most recent; tough to gauge.

Race 3 - M LIFE REWARDS Pacing Series

(1) EAST BEACH hit town last week for Burke and absolutely dominated; he can come right back as the heavy chalk. (4) TAP TAP TAP could not sustain a two-move effort last out; he’s back with Bartlett and will look to complete a chalky exacta. (2) RECORD YEAR looked super winning last week versus lesser and he gets a serious test here. (6) WESTERN EXPOSURE has been racing very well over at The Meadowlands.

Race 4 - M LIFE REWARDS Pacing Series

(1) BUDDY HILL never fired last out from the eight hole but he’s reunited with Bartlett and moves all the way inside; Banca trainee gets a narrow edge. (3) LYING IN CASH enjoyed a live trip upon arrival and powered away at a healthy 6/1; Buter charge should be a major player. (2) RAZOR’S EDGE took all the money last week and broke; price on the Burke trainee obviously goes up tonight. (5) TWIN B JAYS returns locally for Harris and was decent in three prior starts here.

Race 5 - M LIFE REWARDS Pacing Series

(6) UNION STATION raced respectably in his seasonal debut then regressed a bit last week after an uncovered trip; Harder trainee lands in a soft division where it’s tough to make a case for anyone. (5) VIRGIN STORM is probably fastest here but is 0 for 6 and counting this year so how short a price are you willing to take? (1) ROAR OF APPROVAL has some speed from the best post. (8) P L MUNSON has been very good but unfortunately draws worst again.

Race 6 – NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime

(3) MAGGIE RHEE ran into a killer last start who came back and won again; filly jogs here with a repeat of her last two performances. (6) SHE’SONEHOTWRITER arrives from Canada and gets Bartlett driving for Blackler; always a good angle. (7) THANEEYA raced pretty well last week to hit the ticket. (8) ANNE BONNEY N arrives from Down-Under for Croghan; take a look at her.

Race 7 – NW5400 in last 5 starts

(1) ALEXANDER HANOVER gave a decent effort in defeat last out and he deserves a long look from the best post. (3) MAJESTIC MOMENT N gets needed class and post relief tonight for Tritton. (5) BINGO QUEEN went nowhere in her seasonal debut but I’m sure she needed that race; veteran mare can show more tonight. (2) WINNERESS was facing better at the end of last year for the returning Garcia-Herrera barn.

Race 8 – NW7500 in last 5 starts

(2) INTEROVER gapped last week in what was a pretty quick mile but she faces a bit softer here and should be in line for a good trip. (3) POWERFUL YIELD has a solid comeback race and he can build off that effort. (1) CRITICAL MASS gets Bartlett in the bike and draws best. (8) ANOTHER BREATH faces an uphill climb from the eight hole looking to repeat.

Race 9 – NW6 races or $20,000 lifetime

(5) APRIL AVA is now in the Burke barn and she qualified sharply over at The Meadowlands; mare could be ready at first asking in this competitive event. (1) UPTOWN LADY N was clearly best upon arrival at insane 1/20 odds and clearly she’s talented enough to handle better. (3) WESTERN SECRET A has been underachieving; maybe she’ll respond better to Kakaley’s handling. (4) MAJOR FROST was a decent second last week sitting the pocket trip.

Race 10 – NW10000 in last 5 starts

(2) TIDQUIST doesn’t win all that often but he always comes away with a piece; trotter can take air and can grind his way to victory. (1) ARMAGEDON SEELSTER returns off a confidence-boosting win over at Freehold. (4) ARRAKIS gets some class relief and does have early speed. (6) TACO TUESDAY was hung the duration on his 2020 debut; obviously he’s capable with a smoother trip.

Race 11 – NW5000 in last 5 starts

(3) ELDORADO OF GOLD S never rallied last week but put in a solid effort the start prior; if he runs back to that race he can take this. (4) LUCKY SHIELA ships in from The Big M for Team Bongiorno and looks like a good fit here but note she broke in her last race here a few months ago. (1) MIGHTY SURF is tough to take on the win end but the post relief will get her in play. (2) BELLEMENTE can save ground and hold off the rest.

Race 12 – NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime

(2) BIRCH ISLAND BETTY has closed a ton in four of her last five races and the Allard trainee should be right there at the wire. (6) SHECANDANCE N was on a roll towards the end of last season and qualified nicely looking to pick up where she left off. (1) CORAL BELLA was just a touch short last week but don’t take anything away from her; threat. (3) CABOWABOCUTTIE needs to finish better; use underneath.
