Yonkers: Tuesday 2/11 Analysis

MEET STATS: 45 - 138 / $229.90 (-$46.10)
BEST BETS: 8 - 12 / $25.80 (+$1.80)
Best Bet: LOVIN COCOA (1st)
Spot Play: ADAGIO DE LA TOUR (4th)
Race 1 – F&M NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime
(5) LOVIN COCOA has been behaving herself recently and racing really well; mare clearly looks the best of these in the opener. (2) THANEEYA raced evenly and picked up small shares in her two local starts; she draws well again and should be in line for a good trip. (3) ROOMTOBREATHE never really got underway as a 2-year-old but did win her initial 2020 start at Freehold and she has license to improve. (4) ARTFULLY DEALT did flash some speed last start.
Race 2 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(1) HIGGS BOSON took money as expected in his second local start for Jenn Bongiorno and delivered with a solid front-end score; trotter may be sharp enough to handle better. (4) SORTIE HANOVER went evenly from the back of the pack last week and should be more involved with the post relief. (5) EXS AND OHS has hit the board in her last two races for Tom Corelli, who has had some success with his small stable of trotters. (3) ANOTHER BREATH has had breaking problems but held together in that qualifier.
Race 3 – F&M NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime
(7) BLACKWELL RUBY IR gets a bit more of a test tonight from the outside post but the mare is simply more talented than these and should find a way to get the job done again. (4) PLATINUM PEARL gets needed post relief and the Burke trainee should be more involved; she does show a win at the NW4 level three back. (5) HP XANADU had no excuse to blow second last week but she should be on the move early again. (2) MILIONDOLAR BEAUTY draws well and will be close up throughout.
Race 4 – NW10700 in last 5 starts
(3) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR is usually at his best a level down but this race didn’t come up particularly strong for NW10000 or $20K claimers and the post relief gives the veteran more of a chance to be involved. (4) INTEROVER does have some early speed at his disposal which could set her up with a nice trip. Both (5) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME and (8) MIAMI are up in class after running one-two last week, and Miami goes to a new barn and will have his work cut out for him from the worst post.
Race 5 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(5) WATKINS seemed to find the fountain of youth last week with a solid score picking off the odds-on favorite late; veteran is classy enough to string multiple good efforts together. (6) LADY EAGLE was also very good last start finishing second to a tough rival; Stratton seems to get along well with her. (3) ALEXANDER HANOVER has raced evenly in her last couple for the Watson barn, which has sent out some live ones recently. (1) MURMUR HANOVER draws best in his local return and could carry his speed a long way.
Race 6 – F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts
(1) B FIFTEEN has been lacking a bit in the late stages but she’s reunited with Bartlett while drawing best and the Banca trainee gets one more chance. (7) AMAZING ARYA didn’t have the easiest of trips upon arrival but she raced okay; Kakaley sticks with her. (3) NORTHERN SWIFT was no match while uncovered into a rated pace in her local return; she can be a serious threat with a smoother trip. (8) MY SISTER LUCIE moves to the Allard barn but has to overcome the worst post.
Race 7 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(3) BELLAMENTE trotted evenly in her local debut for these connections but was no match versus better; she then took money over at The Meadowlands and broke; mare faces a soft field here and is worth a look if anywhere near her 15/1 morning line. (1) ROSSINI did flash some early speed last week and maybe he can build off that effort. (4) P L JERICO goes back to the hobbles, qualified effectively and gets Bartlett in the bike. (5) BARNEY MAC gets some needed class relief.
Race 8 – F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts
(2) LINE DANCER gets much-needed class relief tonight and is a strong candidate to take these coast-to-coast. (1) AMERICAN SARA was way overbet to 3/5 odds upon arrival and gave way with little excuse; she may be better off stalking the pace and will obviously offer more value tonight. (4) MILADY DENVER A has been sneaky-good in all recent and she gets post relief. (3) HURRICANE CALLEIGH has been going just evenly but the class relief will help.
Race 9 – NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime
(3) BETCHA BABY just missed from a similar spot last out and overall the DiDomenico trainee has been solid since arriving locally; top billing. (5) ROCKNROLL ANNIE outraced her odds in her last two with nice second-place finishes; worth a look. (2) SOMETHING REEL didn’t fire in her last two after showing promise with that runner-up effort three back; price should be decent enough to warrant a look. (8) WESTERN SECRET A didn’t sustain her move last week in that strange race and now she’s stuck all the way outside but Bartlett did stick with her and the recent import appears to have some talent.
Race 10 – NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime
(3) BIRCH ISLAND BETTY took advantage of some action up front and swept powerfully to a second consecutive win since arriving locally for Allard; she faces some good ones here but may be up to the task. (8) BA BA BA BANANA has been beyond sharp for Nick Clegg and the rapidly-improving mare successfully handled the eight-hole last week; must-use. (1) FOOL ME AGAIN finished well last week and now moves all the way inside. (7) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N likely needed her initial local start and the recent import can be tighter tonight.
Race 11 – NW10000 in last 5 starts
(1) BOOTS N CHAINS ripped out of the pocket to score versus similar last out; I’ll tab him to repeat. (3) CLARION HALL has shown nothing for these connections through three starts but this is a much more friendly spot tonight and Bartlett will have him pointed to the front. (5) CON AIR HALL never got involved from the eight hole off the DiDomenico claim; I suspect Brennan will have him in play tonight. (2) ONE DIRECTION jogged two back at The Meadowlands and he deserves some respect off that effort.
Race 12 – F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts
(1) ROCK ME BABY broke leaving from the far outside last out but the mare moves all the way inside and meets a relatively soft field here in the finale; maybe. (3) ROSE RUN UPTOWNGAL gets needed class relief but needs to show more late. (7) TIPP CITY was nailed on the wire last out in a game try and would the top choice if not for the post. (2) THREEDEE DELIGHT A, like some of her barn-mates, has been sneaky-good of late and she can be included.
