Race 1
(3) TOUGH MUDDER was nailed for the win at the wire in his last try at the Meadowlands. Gelding appears to be in a perfect spot to boss these with a well-judged drive from Mr. Brennan. (2) POP ICON makes his return to Yonkers and gets post relief; player. Florida invader (4) MANHATTAN BENNY could land a share of the purse.
Race 2
(4) NO RECESS put in a game effort in his last trip at the Big M and the veteran appears to be heading in the right direction; the pick with Brennan at the helm. (3) MERRY HANOVER was second best in his latest and she seems to be knocking at the door. (1) FREDDIE MAC was sharp at Monticello but could he contend at Yonkers? We shall see.
Race 3
(1) ROCK ICON took the pocket route on his way to glory last out. Veteran looks to be in fine form so the rise in class should not hurt; gets the call. (2) JK PRIDENJOY rallied strongly but could not get to the winner in his last try; big threat. (5) I FOUND MY BEACH does have the positional speed to work out an ideal stalking trip; not out of this.
Race 4
(1) ROLL WITH ANN raced evenly in her last start and now the pacing mare moves to the fence and Brennan is keeping the faith. Can top these if she is able to get away cleanly. (3) SHESAIDHESAIDISAID put in a late rally for the place spot in her latest and she could be a major factor in this event. (2) PIRINEAS PRINCESS did flash early zip in her Meadowlands finale but she seems to be well suited at the Hilltop; watch out.
Race 5
Will take a shot with (4) BET ON SUCCESS to put it all together. Gelding was over his head on the big mile track, but now he moves back to the half-mile oval where he has done quite well. With a favorable trip he could make tonight a winning one. (1) CHIP WALTHER did not fire in his Jersey finale but he seems to be heading in the right direction and draws the fence; likely favorite. (3) WILD WEST gets post relief and that should help his cause.
Race 6
(4) PANAMANIAN HANOVER was a game third in his last start so there's an indication he's ready to put his best foot forward. (3) SOUL TRAIN has been solid in his last three outings and figures to be a serious threat. (5) HIGH BLUE leaves the 8-hole and should find the class drop to his liking; respect.
Race 7
(4) FAMEOUS WESTERN did not fire from door number seven. Now the veteran gets a luckier draw and has the tactical speed to rate and score over this group. Based on his last two tries (1) P H SUPERCAM is knocking at the door and retains the rail; main danger. (5) BB'S HARLEY has wheeled off two straight victories at this level so he must be respected.
Race 8
(5) FOLLOWTHEWIND N put in a game effort at the Meadowlands last out with a second-place finish. She is good enough to handle the half-mile oval, so the veteran mare can top these if she is able to get the right trip. (4) QUEEN JOSEPHINE gets serious post relief and that could help her cause. (3) PRAIRIE SWEETHEART also gets the luck of the draw and has fine speed; do not overlook.
Race 9
(2) FEARLESS MAN was late on the scene to get the job done by a neck last time around at the Meadowlands. Trotter should appreciate his return to Yonkers where he was facing much better stock. Trainer Harris is off to a red-hot start and Bartlett chooses this gelding over his main man Banca's charge Adagio De La Tour; the pick. (1) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR moves back to the Banca barn and the gelding has been sharp in his last three starts; main danger. (5) GLOBAL REVOLUTION tipped outside and just got up for win honors in his last trip; consider.
Race 10
(1) BETTERLATETHNNEVER took charge in deep stretch but was run down by a fast-closing Seel The Deal N in their last start at the Big M. Ten-year-old veteran pacer moves to Yonkers and draws the fence; could be tough to reel in. (2) ASLAN does have better success at the Hilltop and he appears to be a big factor. (4) MAGRITTE came very wide to grab the show spot in his latest; could have a say in the outcome.
