Race 7 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick-5 Pool
Race 1 - $12,500/$15,000 Claiming
(6) BROOKIES PRINCE N goes back to the Brittany Robertson barn again via claim and he’s looking for his 12th straight win and as I stated last time when I made him my top selection I don’t see anything standing in his way here. (1) HAYDENS LITTLE MAN was run down by a sharp winner last week and he seems the most logical here to complete a chalky exacta. (4) AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A was a strong winner two back at Freehold then ran into some tough ones last out; last few local races haven’t been that sharp, however. (3) ALBERT A’ SCOOTIN gets some post relief which should help his cause.
Race 2 – NW10000 in last 5 starts
(5) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR was a sharp two-move front-end winner last week and the veteran French import is a perfect fit at this level; he’ll likely be favored to take another. (2) LIMERENCE drops in class again for Steve Smith off a solid try and he should be a big player here. (3) ANNAPOLIS HALL is usually close but doesn’t often seal the deal; include. (7) DRAGON THE WAGON draws poorly which may seal his fate but he seems capable of landing a small share.
Race 3 - $15,000/$20,000 Claiming
(3) ROCK ON PRECIOUS resumed winning ways last week with a solid wire-to-wire score and now he goes back to the DiDominico barn via claim while staying at the winning level. (5) TRIPLE SEELSTER has some speedy types inside of him but he’s been sharp and cannot be ignored. (2) OWN IT has been close up in his last few and figures to come out of this with another good share. (1) COACH CAL should be using his early speed from the best post to work out a nice stalking trip.
Race 4 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(5) MORE DRAGON is a very erratic type but he meets a very questionable field here and was a winner the last time Steve Smith drove. (4) SOHO LEVIATHAN A drops to the basement but the Shaun Vallee import has shown absolutely nothing since arriving and is tough to take at a short price. (2) JOHN DALLY gets much-needed post relief and will be much more involved from this spot. (1) STELLA’S PHELLA never wins but he can save ground and pick up a minor share.
Race 5 – F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts
(1) LUSTY DELIGHT was a decent second to the heavy favorite upon arrival and a repeat of that effort will probably be good enough to take this. (3) I CHOOSE YOU lands in a good spot and the Godinez trainee has no excuse not to come out of this with a big piece. (7) CRUISINWITHMYBABY has been rather dull out of town but she’s been okay at Yonkers in the past and she does have some early speed. (8) ENDLESS SUMMER ships up from Maryland and picks up Bartlett off a winning qualifier but the eight hole obviously presents some problems.
Race 6 – F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts
(5) QUITE A DELIGHT N was much better last week, drops down a notch, was Bartlett’s choice and can take this with some more improvement. (3) CHERRY BLISS is hard to endorse for the top spot but the Bucci trainee should be sitting a close-up trip. (8) WISHY WASHY GIRL was comically overbet in her local return and never fired; now she lands all the way outside but at least the price goes way up. (6) LYNBAR ROSE N was pretty stubborn in defeat last start and looms a player again.
Race 7 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(5) SPORTSMANSHIP couldn’t handle a two-move effort in his local return and the trip seems a bit uncertain again tonight but at least he should offer some value. (3) SERIOUS MAJOR drops from claimers, lands a live spot and figures to be aggressively handled. (2) ALL ABOUT RUSTY invades from Monticello off a win and this barn sent out a winner here last week. (1) VICTORY AT LAST has the trainer in the bike again instead of a catch-driver but he did flash good speed last out.
Race 8 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(2) SOLID ASA ROCK A qualified sharply in preparation for his local return and the Banca trainee gets Bartlett in the bike while drawing well. (5) OUR ZAK WHITBY A drops a notch in class and lands in a better spot; more is expected tonight. (3) ASTON HILL DAVE sat in and shook free too late last start; Laterza trainee has been decent since returning from vacation and he does have some back class. (9) NOX VEGAS BLUECHIP doesn’t win often and is stuck in the second tier but he seems fast enough to compete with these.
Race 9 – F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts
(3) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI broke at the start last week ending her night in a hurry but her prior efforts were decent from tough spots; she should be a big contender here if she minds her manners. (1) VELOCITY MCSWEETS returns locally off a win at Pocono and was facing better when last seen here. (2) LINE DANCER lands her first good post in ages and figures to be much more involved. (6) ROCK ME BABY ships in from Ohio for Virgil Morgan, Jr. and is worth a look.
Race 10 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(1) DECLAN SEELSTER has returned sharp after a couple of months on the shelf and the Harder trainee looks like he’ll be controlling the action here. (5) PERSISTENT THREAT A has some early speed which can set him up with a live trip. (2) HUDSONANDBERNARD drops a notch in class, draws better and maybe he can awaken a bit with Barteltt hopping on board. (3) REGGIANO has been much better in his last three starts and he’s facing better off an easy win.
Race 11 – F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts
(7) FRANSCHOEK jogged versus lesser upon arrival from Mohawk Park and Bartlett sticks with her over other live contenders; this isn’t an easy spot but she seems worth following up on if the price is decent. (2) ZOE ELLASEN has been facing better recently and she gets needed post relief. (6) ANN HILL has been good in all recent starts and could be forwardly placed. (1) SHELLIE DE VIE is up in class off a win and draws best.
