Race 7 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick-5 Pool
Race 1 - $12,500 Claiming
(2) BEYONDTHESILENCE N was never a player in his first start back off the layoff but I have to believe the Tritton trainee will be more of a factor tonight. (6) NORTHERN ASSASSIN A failed miserably for his new barn but was reclaimed by Banca at a premium and now drops back to the $12,500 level; better effort will be coming. (3) REACH FOR INFINITY has just been pacing evenly of late but he gets some post relief and has license to be a player here. (7) MASTER THE VIEW has been solid at this level recently; post hurts but he’ll be a good price.
Race 2 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(8) CLARION HALL has maintained his solid form off the Mark Ford claim and he has the speed to overcome the outside post. (4) SUPERIORCOURT has made a nice living this season and he returns to Yonkers off a win up at Monti; note that he does have a win here this year. (5) MADMAN HALL has been underachieving but he keeps Stratton and is capable of better. (1) WATKINS has been around seemingly forever and he still looks like he can go with this type.
Race 3 – F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts
(4) DEUCES FOR CHARITY is still shut out on the season but she may never find a softer spot than this. (1) MAJOR FROST exits the age-restricted ranks and from the best post the filly may be competitive with this type. (8) QUITE A DELIGHT N drops to the bottom with ‘iffy’ current form and the worst post but the Dilloian trainee still should be considered a threat. (7) CRUISINWITHMYBABY does have some early speed which can get her in play at a price.
Race 4 - $15,000 Claiming
(2) BIG TURN ON has been racing reasonably well lately for a barn that’s been on fire recently; veteran draws well and figures to be the best price of the contenders. (1) SEELEY MAN is racing for the third week in a row which is a good sign and he’s been sharp; speedy gelding can handle the jump in class. (7) TJ BLAST won first out for his new barn and has the speed to get in play. (3) RUPP went coast-to-coast in his debut for Banca and he’s obviously capable of repeating. Good race.
Race 5 – F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts
(4) DARK FORCE added Lasix last start, was used hard and wilted under pressure facing better; Croghan trainee seems to be better than she’s showing and Bartlett sticks with her. (1) FAITHFUL DESIRE returns locally with speed and the best post. (5) ASKMYSECRETARY paced a nice back half to dispose of lesser last week; recent addition to the Harder barn may have more to offer. (2) FREEZE OUT has really fallen on hard times; at one time she was an Open Handicap winner here.
Race 6 – F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts
(6) BELLATRICKS is a classy mare who fits perfectly at this level and she does have sharp speed off the gate; price should be decent and she’s definitely worth a look here. (3) CLASSY CHAPEL N won right off the Banca claim and she remains at a winning level. (1) PATANJALI N took care of lesser last week at odds-on and the Cory Stratton trainee can work out a live trip from the best post. (5) LIFETIME TRUST drops in class, but without much current form; can she awaken?
Race 7 – NW5000 in last 5 starts **$10K GTD PICK-5**
(2) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR has had some excuses lately but his start four back he was right there late versus better; Bongiorno trainee can take this with smooth sailing. (3) ON THE VIRG was stubborn in defeat last week upon dropping to this basement level and he’s clearly the one to beat. (4) ART HISTORY hasn’t done much recently but he seems capable of better. (1) UNDRAFTED has been much better in his last couple and he draws the best post again while keeping Bartlett.
Race 8 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(5) LETTUCERIPRITA A gave it a solid try on the front end last week before faltering late; veteran hasn’t won in quite some time but he does fit well with these and looks to have as good a chance as any in here. (1) BEAST MODE drops in class and gets major post relief; gelding should be a big player. (6) VOLLEY BALL BEACH has been unrateable in his last couple; Harris trainee tries Bartlett tonight. (4) REVELRY ships in to Yonkers and moves into the DiDomenico barn; shows improvement?
Race 9 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(3) DREAM OUT LOUD N returns to Yonkers now in the Garcia-Herrera barn and it’s safe to say the 12-year-old knows his way around this racetrack; near-millionaire can take these wire-to-wire. (1) CAMPORA N is back up a notch in class off a very tough-trip second best where he was wide a long way; Vallee is back driving tonight and they can set up with a live trip, hopefully from the pocket. (4) CARLISIMO is fresh stock for Lance Hudson coming from Canada but he’s missed time off a sick scratch and he may need an acclimating mile. (8) SUMMER SIDE drops in class again but is stuck in post eight.
Race 10 – NW7500 in last 5 starts
(3) WARMINSTER A is an inconsistent as they come but one of his better efforts could be enough to get the job done. (4) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A has also had a very up-and-down season but the Hudson trainee always deserves consideration. (1) EXIT CAM has boon looking a bit better recently and the veteran can save ground to hit the ticket. (6) THEFREEDOMFIGHTERN was a solid second the last time Bartlett drove.
Race 11 – NW10000 in last 5 starts
Shaun Vallee listed Brennan on (2) MCCLINCHIE N this week and he chose him over a couple of other rivals in here. Last time at this level they teamed up for a wire-to-wire score. (3) DREAM OF LUCK drops from the $40K claimers and gets needed post relief for a hot barn; big threat. (1) KEPT UNDER WRAPS A moves back inside and should be a player from start to finish. (6) THE LUNCH PAIL could be a late threat to sneak into the number.
