Race 1 - 15000CLM Pace
(4) HAYDENS LITTLE MAN closed to finish second in his debut for Banca last Tuesday. Gets post relief off that race, moving from post seven to post four. (3) COACH CAL beat my top selection a week ago with a solid rally off cover. Drew well again and is definitely a double-up threat. (5) BIG TURN ON overcame the eight-hole to get third in the same event Haydens Little Man and Coach Cal competed in. Has a mid-pack post this time and will likely get more attention at the windows.
Race 2 - NW8050L5/15000CLM/Winners of NW5000L5 in Last Start Trot
(1) SEVEN IRON has some additional class relief tonight. Been looking for a winning level, and he may have found it here. Draws the rail and Bartlett takes over the driving. (2) WARRAWEE PREFERRED steps up a notch after a tough-beat second last Monday. Kept Brennan over Seven Iron. (4) MADMAN HALL couldn't gain last Tuesday in this same class, but he gets another shot with Stratton driving tonight, and maybe we'll see a change in tactics.
Race 3 - 12500CLM Pace
(2) MASTER THE VIEW tried a tougher class on 10-10 and didn't have any success. Drops back to the bottom claiming level here where he has been victorious in two of his last three appearances. (5) SEELEY MAN had the misfortune to run into the well-meant TJ Blast in two straight starts and finished second as the heavy favorite both times. I'll take a stand against again tonight. (1) MANHATTAN BENNY cut some swift fractions and tired in the final quarter on October 10. Has the pole position tonight and Dube in the bike, so we might see that again.
Race 4 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(3) ASKMYSECRETARY gets a trainer change to Mark Harder and a driver switch to Jason Bartlett tonight. She receives some post and class relief as well, and I'll give her a shot in a wide-open event. (4) LINE DANCER may be the one to beat her as she drops off an even fourth against better and Brennan takes over the lines. (1) CRUISINWITHMYBABY slides inside to the pole position tonight and kept Siegelman over Askmysecretary. Gained ground in the final quarter and finished third in this class last Tuesday.
Race 5 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(4) ALWAYSALITTLEMORE finished with some interest from an outside draw back on October 10. Has post four to work with tonight, Bongiorno drives again, and this is another division of this class that appears to be wide-open. (1) CHERRY BLISS is another mare for the Bucci/Brennan combo at this level that is a contender. Starts from the rail tonight and drops in search of a wake-up call. (7) MAJORETTE ANGIE has a bad post again tonight, but she did rally last Tuesday for a fourth against better. Has a win on the page at this level.
Race 6 - F&M NW10000L5/20000CLM/Winners of NW7500L5 in Last Start Pace
(5) BELLATRICKS disappointed a week ago when she dropped to this level, but she's beaten these types before, and I'll hope she improves tonight. (3) CLASSY CHAPEL N goes for Banca tonight after a brutal trip in the race she was claimed out of. Shortens up to the mile distance tonight and has serious post relief. (6) LYONS JENNIELEE didn't have much chance from a trailing post ten last Tuesday but her prior three efforts were solid enough now that she's back on the gate.
Race 7 - NW5000L5 Pace - *$10K GTD Pick 5*
(2) ON THE VIRG attempted to brush to the lead last Monday and got parked out instead. Drops and moves inside tonight and was Dube's choice of four. Not much value likely, but I think Dube will make amends. (5) MISSILE SEELSTER gained positions in the final quarter last week in his local debut. Draws a mid-pack post tonight, and he might improve. (1) UNDRAFTED hung around for third when he started from the rail a week ago. Stays in this class again and Bartlett drives tonight.
Race 8 - NW10000L5/20000CLM/Winners of NW7500L5 in Last Start Trot
(1) ANNAPOLIS HALL wasn't as good on 10-8 as he was on 10-1, but he's usually a threat at this level, and Stratton takes over. He guided him to a solid third against better back on September 20. (2) BIGBOY ROSCO showed improvement in the third start for Allard on October 8. Zeron drove that night and he gets another shot this time from a good draw. (4) CHERRY PEEP steps up tonight after an impressive first-over win last Tuesday. Her previous try in this class was disappointing, and I'll try and beat her.
Race 9 - F&M NW7500L5/15000CLM/Winners of NW5000L5 in Last Start Pace
(6) PATANJALI N remains winless since coming to the United States, but I think she gets her best chance to break through so far. She drops off a rallying third last Tuesday, and she might improve a little bit more since that was coming off a sick scratch. (1) PITTSTOP DANIKA rallied in the final quarter two weeks ago for a third. Gets another opportunity with Zeron tonight and has the pole position. (4) QUITE A DELIGHT N battled hard from first-over back on 10-8 and finished second. Bartlett drives again, and I imagine she'll be the favorite.
Race 10 - NW7500L5/Winners of NW5000L5 in Last Start Pace
(2) NORTHERN VIRGIN ships north from Freehold in sharp form with a win and two seconds in his last three. Seems to catch a beatable bunch here from an inside draw. (4) MACH ONE gained in the final quarter to come in fourth in his second start for Regina last Tuesday. Stratton chose him over another horse in here. (1) GRAND MASTER draws inside again and might be in a position to sit a trip and hang around to complete the ticket.
Race 11 - NW7500L5/Winners of NW5000L5 in Last Start Pace
(1) RUPP owns a win at this level three back and was claimed by Banca last week. Reunites with Bartlett, who steered him to that victory as well. (3) WARMINSTER A went to the front last Monday but had to park a foe out and paid the price late. He's a threat against these types. (7) PAPIAMENTO continues to drop down the class ladder but also continues to draw outside posts. Let's see if there's any change in racing style coming tonight.
