(2) ROOTIN TOOTIN made a bad break on the lead approaching the 3/4 marker and lost all chance in his Tioga finale; can atone for loss. (1) SURFING TIDE closed well to miss glory by 1/2 length recently at the Meadowlands; player. (4) DAMION DIESEL HAHN was sent down the road in his latest upstate for the victory; watch out.
Race 2
(2) MUSCLES ON FIRE Sharp effort for this trotting gelding last time out and he seems to be heading in the right direction; gets the call. (5) ATLANTIC CREST Plainridge invader was a game second recently and clearly he must be considered against these. (1) ARCHERY retains the fence off a good third at big odds; factor.
Race 3
(2) WINNING DESIGN was a good second two starts back and now the gelding gets serious post relief; can top these at his best. (4) CADILLAC PHIL Even finish for third money last time around; threat. (5) LYONS AGAIN should do much better leaving door number eight; we shall see.
Race 4
(4) REAL RAYENBOW has good speed and this Juvenile colt has every right to get the job done if given a favorable trip. (1) PROPHET BLUE CHIP had a mild bid for show money last out at Tioga; contender. (6) LYONS STEEL been quite good in his last two trips to the post so he must be considered in the exotic picture.
Race 5
(1) TRUMP NATION could not get past the winner last out upstate and the good news is he moves right back to Yonkers where this pacer took home top prize two starts ago; ready for action (Believe me). (2) PHAT BLUE CHIP is knocking at the door based on his last two outings; player. (3) MR PROFETA gets serious post relief and Brennan has the assignment; don't overlook.
Race 6
(2) MEDIA QUEEN N Pacing mare gets the luck of the draw and had won here four starts back so she has every right to once again greet the cameraman for pictures. (4) DANDYS BEAUTY just missed at this level by a head last out; big threat. (3) SKINNY DIPPER was late on the scene to nail down the score recently; not out of this.
Race 7
(1) CASUAL COOL His two upstate starts were very good and now the juvenile is back at the Hilltop where he went down the road for glory on August 25th; the pick. (6) PAPRIKE BLUE CHIP came outside to run them down for top prize in his Tioga finale; main danger. (4) SILVER ARROW was all by himself against lesser recently at Vernon; could have a say in the outcome.
Race 8
(2) LITTLE JOKE finally leaves the far outside slot and she is on the dropdown. At her best she can make tonight a winning one. (5) JULIOS GIRL rallied strongly to grab the placing last time around; may land a share of the purse. (6) MACS SECURE beat lesser in her last try; post hurts tonight, but she is very capable.
Race 9
(1) HITMAN HILL is unbeaten (five for five) and the gelding is back on the fence where he was the boss on August 25 for win honors. All seems well for this juvenile to keep on his winning ways if he minds his manners. (5) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN closed strongly to nail down the place spot in his latest at Tioga; player. (6) KEYSTONE TENACIOUS has hit the board in all of his six starts, so in theory he must be respected in all the exotic slots.
Race 10
(3) SIR MACHALOT moves to door number three and that might be the ticket for this gelding to bring home all the bacon with a well judged drive from Jim Marohn Jr. (6) JOE HILL was on the lead most of the way but was caught in deep stretch last time out; big threat. (1) A BETTOR HAT did put in a mild bid for the fourth spot, so maybe the fence will help his cause; possible.
Race 11
(7) HILLOSOPHICAL has tactical speed and she has had good success here, however she must overcome the 7-hole. With the right trip and at her best, she can take this. (4) ULTIMATE SHOPPER did put in a good bid for show money at Philly last time around; major player. (3) LIMERENCE beat lesser here on August 20th and tonight she gets post relief; should not be overlooked in this event.
Race 12
(3) HILLBILLY HANOVER takes the plunge in class, gets a decent draw and Mr. Bartlett has the assignment; the pick. (4) BETTOR BELIEVE IT did show some signs of life recently at Philly; could be in the exotic picture. (6) LAUXMONT CAPRI was second best against Open foes at Tioga last time around; merits respect.
