Race 1
(1) SURREAL FEELING has dominated this level in her last three and is tough to go past from this spot. (3) FAST DATE was a sharp winner last out for Laterza and could be the main threat late. (2) REAL ROXY will be close up throughout and should land a share.
Race 2
(2) WITH WINGS takes a meaningful drop into this 'B' division and appears good to go from this inside spot. (6) CHEYENNE DEO was an easy winner last out; threat despite the outside post. (1) BLUSH has only hit the board once in five tries but the rail spot should keep her close throughout.
Race 3
(2) SILK REED takes an important drop from the NYSS to the Excelsior and that may be enough to get her over the top. (7) SPECIAL KAY DEO was a nice winner in her career debut; respect. (3) KJ'S BREATH should go well with these but the missed time is a concern.
Race 4
(1) KJ'S JUSTINE barely got nipped last out but the big post edge here may make the difference. (6) PELICAN BLUE CHIP figures to be aggressively handled early and looks like the chief threat. (2) BETTERTHANBRIE hails from the always dangerous Takter barn and she makes her small track debut.
Race 5
(3) KIM'S THE BEST just missed two back versus better NYSS foes and a return to that effort should be enough to handle these. (1) CLASSY CHRIS needs to step up her game but she does draw best which certainly helps. (2) TREVOR Z TAM closed crisply last out for Lachance, who figures to start winning some races eventually.
Race 6
(2) ALEXIS FAITH arrives undefeated for Casie Coleman and has shown gameness and versatility in her brief career; top billing especially with the post edge. (4) YOUAREMYCANDYGIRL has just one blemish on her card and it's an interference break; Burke trainee will be winging early and is the main threat here. (1) UBETTERGO GO also shows plenty of promise over just four lifetime starts.
Race 7
(6) ALL ON TOP HANOVER is clearly the most accomplished here and though she's stuck outside she should never be too far back in this abbreviated field. (3) PYTHON BLUE CHIP is a Svanstedt-trained pacer who can clearly build off her career debut. (2) STEP BEYOND has been coming up a bit short at the ends of her miles; needs to show more late.
Race 8
(1) ROCK ON SUNSHINE showed some promise with two nice wins over at The Meadows and though she broke last out I'll give her a look tonight. (6) PRINCESS DALIA faces softer tonight after being a fringe player to start her career. (4) TELL ME A JOKE raced pretty well last out off a couple of questionable lines.
Race 9
(3) TWIN B PEACHES has shown me enough in her five lifetime starts to assume she's capable of an upset with a bit better racing luck. (1) HURRIKANE SHORTY is clearly the one to beat and will be odds-on. (2) BETTERTHANGRADUATE will never be too far back for Burke/Kakaley.
Race 10
(1) JK PATRIOT was okay last week and he draws best here versus this very questionable group. (3) ATLAS ALLIANCE N faltered after trying to go down the road last out; veteran should be sitting close up again. (2) VERSADO may be the one to catch but he's a shell of his former self; use caution.
Race 11
(3) HEY KOBE isn't the most prolific winner but she's been in decent shape and may be live for her new barn. (8) SCANDALICIOUS is likely best but needs to overcome the eight hole. (1) FOUR HOUR NAP should be close up throughout from this spot.
Race 12
(4) BEACH BOY BRODY ships in with a big barn change to Andrew Harris and we saw that angle connect here last week at a big price. (1) BEACH MEMORIES is up in class off a loss but he was pretty good last out. (6) WINNING LINC gets Bartlett in the bike tonight.
