(2) U F ROCKIN DRAGON put in a nice eight-hole effort to be second best to the odds-on favorite last week and the post relief bay be able to get him over the top, (5) BEYONDTHESILENCE N won right off the bench and looks like he’s found a new home at this level. (1) MACHLICIOUS raced well last week in a good acclimating mile. (3) ROCK ABSORBER has some back class but just hasn’t been right in some time.
Race 2 – NAADA Amateur
(5) FLYHALK EL DIABLO has been good since the barn change save for a break here and there; the competent Joe Lee gets in the bike tonight and he deserves a long look. (6) TOUGH GET GOING will be firing to the lead with Joe Faraldo. (2) EYORE HANOVER held for a board spot off an uncovered journey last week and he draws well again. (4) WYGANT PRINCE has been around seemingly forever and still seems capable.
Race 3 – NW2 or $25,000 lifetime
(2) FRONTIER CREEDA gets needed post relief in her second local start and Dube figures to have her much more involved tonight. (4 ) MASSIVE VODKA inherited the lead when the pacesetter broke but it was still a good effort at a square price; player. (3) BET BIG ON BLUE is another who figured to be much more involved after touring the track last out from post eight. (6) GOT NO MONEY HONEY will be a big price and could save ground for a minor share.
Race 4 – F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts
(3) SELL A BIT N drops to a level I don’t think she’s even seem before and the Tritton trainee has to step up her game enough to beat these, no? (4) SHEER TALENT moves back to the Robertson barn in fine form. (8) SHEER TALENT goes for Harris off the claim but she’s inconsistent and draws outside again; who knows what to expect. (2) BETTERTHANBRIE figures to be flashing speed from this inside spot.
Race 5 – NW4 or $50,000 lifetime
(4) TOPSPIN S showed off good speed last week and that’s two nice U.S. efforts; import can show more tonight. (1) RACEACE was a good second to a 1/9 shot last week. (2) BROWNIE has raced very well with the hobbles added. (3) WARRIOR ONE is another who’s been live and he can be right there at the wire.
Race 6 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(2) FINE DIAMOND takes a needed drop in class while drawing much better and this barn has been going well lately; looks like a short price looming. (8) HORSING AROUND was much better in his local return and he can be considered despite post eight. (3) MYIDEALSON N hasn’t won in forever but in theory he should fit with these. (5) BULLVILLE KYLE is always capable of rounding out the gimmicks at a price.
Race 7 – NW4 or $50,000 lifetime - $10K GTD Pick-5 POOL
(2) KLYDE DA GLIDE has a couple of recent efforts out of town that would suggest the trotter can fit well here; Holland’s choice. (3) CHECKMATE HILL can go with this type when in the mood and he should be a decent price. (1) INNISFALLEN has been facing some minor 3YO stakes company out of town and should go well here. (4) BLUE AND BOLD wasn’t bad last week at a big price.
Race 8 – F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts
(2) ALWAYS GIGGLING never got involved last week from the eight hole bur was a big speed player in her prior two and the post relief should make a world of difference tonight. (4) LYONS JENNIELEE rallied well last week and Jordan drives again for his brother. (9) LIVINGINTHEDREAM clearly is capable with this type but the Surick trainee needs to overcome the second tier, which will likely relegate her to an off-the-pace try. (5) DALI DELIGHT was able to improve a couple of positions early last week from the eight hole but gapped from there; is she finally tailing off?
Race 9 - $20,000 Clm
(2) JOE HILL finally put it all back together last week and jogged; Allard trainee can certainly repeat but it may not be as easy. (6) SANATTLE SLEW moves to a more accomplished barn and stays at the same level off the claim; Brennan sticks and she’ll be a player here. (5) AMERICAN VENTURE just hasn’t been right in some time but he’ll probably turn it around eventually. (4) SOME GOLD tackles tougher off a sharp win.
Race 10 – NW8 or $100,000 lifetime
(3) LINDSEY’S PRIDE launched an explosive wide move to sweep to the front and win easily and now he faces much of the same; repeats at a short price. (4) FASHION FOREVER was actually set up in front of the winner last week but somehow got blindswitched and beaten to the punch but still rallied well; second best again? (5) ALEXANDRIA HANOVER should be a speed threat again from Burke & Co. (20 BROADWAY CREDIT has talent from Team Bongiorno but may need a start off the layoff.
Race 11 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(2) BLAISE MM HANOVER has more than enough class to handle these, especially from the good inside post. (4) JK HEAVEN SENT was going nowhere off the DiDomenico claim but the post relief certainly helps. (5) WIND BLAST has been an erratic disappointment for Lance Hudson but still must be respected. (1) GALACTIC GALLEON N draws best, should be a player.
