(2) INTREPID HALL moves to door number two and was a fast closing second on St. Paddy's day; gets the call. (4) COPPER COAST A flashed speed but could not sustain on the engine and held on for fourth money last out. (5) GREYSTONE CASH needs to revert to his March 18th trip to contend with these; maybe.
Race 2
(6) CARTOON DADDY moves down in class and gets post relief. Five-year-old can top this group at his best. (1) SPORTING THE LOOK was sent down the road but did not have enough gas in the tank and had to settle for the placing last time out. (7) FOCUS POWER got the job done last time around via the pocket route; post hurts, but he is capable.
Race 3
(5) CAVIART CATERINA is back in the $12.5k claiming ranks where this mare went down the road for all the glory two starts back; can return to her winning ways. (4) DAG INMY STOCKINGS is also on the drop-down and this looks to be a perfect spot for her; big threat. (1) MCCOVEY COVE N could have a say with a favorable trip.
Race 4
This seems to be a rematch from March 30th with (3) GROUNDED & (5) BABY REMIND ME. The latter was nailed for the score and she does have good early zip to turn the tables on her rival. GROUNDED took the pocket route on her way to victory; quite dangerous. (1) BULLVILLE BREN has finished third twice at Monticello; can be right in the mix.
Race 5
(5) BIG TURN ON leaves the 7-hole for a better slot and this pacing gelding keeps Bartlett in the bike; can take this with a favorable trip. (2) TOO DARN HOT makes his return to the Hilltop where he was a very game third four starts back; big threat. (3) LOVE TAP HANOVER moves down the ladder and this might help his cause; we shall see.
Race 6
(1) DREAMLANDS ART was sharp in the pocket but could not get past the winner last out. Now this gelding moves to the fence and good to see Bartlett keeps the faith; the pick. (2) STYXIT TO EM N was on the lead most of the way but tired in deep stretch in his recent trip; main danger. (6) MIDNIGHT DYLAN N was second best in his last try; don't overlook.
Race 7
(4) MACHO CHICK 10-year-old mare moves down to a better condition and she does have a score this year; ready for action. (7) COLLAGE was quite game for the placing missing glory by a half-length; player. (1) CANACO STAR finally receives post relief and clearly she is not out of this.
Race 8
(1) IDEAL WILLIE put in a mild rally for the show spot last time around and now this gelding moves to the fence and Bartlett has the assignment; the choice. (3) BET TOGETHER closed well against lesser company recently; second best. (2) HIGH OCTANE N leaves the 8-hole and gets a better slot.
Race 9
(2) CLASSY HILL just missed glory by a neck in his last trip to the post. Gelding has every right to put it all together against these. (1) LUCKY MAN moves from post eight to the rail and gets Bartlett; main danger. (3) NATURAL LEDA will need a favorable trip in order for this gelding to have a say with this group; quite possible.
Race 10
(3) REAL ILLUSION has put in two good efforts in a row and now this gelding moves up a bit in class; he can move forward. (4) CARD SHOCK was very sharp last out, losing the victory by a head; threat. (5) ROCK ICON was on the engine most of the way but was nailed for win honors last time around; watch out.
Race 11
(4) LYONS AGAIN rallied strong to land the show spot last out and that might be an indication he is ready for his 2nd score of the year. (2) BET THE MOON could do much better from door number two and Bartlett stays in the sulky. (1) ROLL ON is knocking at the door based on his last two seconds in a row; not out of this.
Race 12
(3) MADE OF JEWELS AS showed good speed in her last two starts. With a favorable trip she can make tonight a winning one. (6) JACLYN HANOVER led most of the way but she was caught at the wire for all the glory last out; main danger. (2) HIPNUMBERONE closed sharply and she just missed the victory by a half-length; watch out.
