Yonkers: Thursday 4/11 Analysis

Matt Rose|Apr 09, 2019
Yonkers logo

Best Bet: DALI DELIGHT (3rd)

Spot Play: PERFECTLY CLOSE (4th)

MEET STATS: 109 - 313 / $546.30 (-$79.70)

BEST BETS: 17 - 26 / $51.50 (-$0.50)

Race 1

(4) SCARLET CHASER has totally turned it around lately and enters another new barn via claim; Bartlett sticks and he's clearly capable of repeating. (3) ART'S DELIGHT debuts for Adamczyk via claim and gets much-needed post relief. (2) HERE WE GO AGAIN was far off the top one at the finish last week but was actually very game for second after getting bottomed out; oldtimer will find his way back to the winners circle eventually.

Race 2

(1) THAT'S MY OPINION faces a bit tougher off a very game victory but he does land the best post in this handicap race and he has as good a chance as any. (4) ER ROCK MY WORLD goes for Robertson off the claim and is a legit speed threat. (2) MISTER ACCUMULATOR faces better off the Banca claim and will have to really step it up to beat these; consider for a share, however.

Race 3

(1) DALI DELIGHT just keeps performing at this level regardless of the barn she's in; she figures to take another here at a short price. (3) SUCCESSFUL OUTLOOK has been second best in three straight and rates as highly here. (5) THE SPINSTER N was much-improved last week for Cushing/Gibbs.

Race 4

(7) PERFECTLY CLOSE was game in victory last week, run over late by a rival that had some class to him; recent $30K claim should be able to handle these NW5000 types despite the outside draw. (2) FULLBACK returns locally for Vallee and has raced well here in the past. (6) ROCKIN PANDA hasn't returned much since the DiDomenico claim; I suspect he'll turn it around eventually for this sharp outfit.

Race 5

(3) KEENE OLIVIA was a decent second after hiking up off the Surick claim and she seems to have as good a chance as any in this competitive event. (5) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA jogged last week for Fusco and now goes back to Temming off the reclaim; player. (1) BROWN BRINNY gets class and post relief but has proven to be a camera-shy type.

Race 6

(1) MRS DARCY is a 4-year-old mare who seems to be on the improve and she ships from Dover off a nice win; we'll see how the trotter fits in here and the price should be okay. (7) BIGBOY ROSCO was an easy winner last week upon arrival from Canada and is clearly the one to beat again. (3) FLYHAWK EL DIABLO was Bartlett's choice and had raced decently in the past.

Race 7

(7) FEEL THE NEED A seemed to be completely rejuvenated moving back to the DiDomenico barn and the veteran can move forward off that effort. (5) TWIN B SPEEDO showed some more life upon dropping to this level and he get some post relief here; player. (1) GERARD N MO hails from live connections and draws best; include.

Race 8

(3) MELANIE'S FILLY lands in a much better start in her second try at this optional $20K level and the Allard trainee can go coast-to-coast. (2) SWEET YOU is a good finisher and must always be considered when Stratton is in the bike. (1) TELL ME A JOKE could save ground from this spot and hit the ticket.

Race 9

(5) ICINGON DE CUPCAKE has represented himself very well since moving to the Surick barn and was a good second last week; he's got some good ones inside of him but is worth considering if the price is 'sweet' enough. (1) WORTHYOURATTENTION had no real chance last week but finished up well; post relief should make her a player. (3) MIAMI returns to the half-miler off a nice front-end score last out at The Meadowlands but he did break in his lone local try.

Race 10

(1) AMERICAN VENTURE hasn't done much of late but this veteran is better than he's been showing and he finally gets a good post to work with. (4) CAVIART SKYLER and (5) MCCLINCHIE N are a couple of veterans who are used to facing better and they are both logical players here.
