Race 1
(7) GOT NO MONEY HONEY showed signs of life in his latest. Gelding does have tactical speed and has every right to get the job done with a well-judged run. (1) PENNANT SEELSTER broke at the start, but made a quick recovery to land the show spot last week. He should be better against this group if he can stay on gait. (5) PINE BUSH ROSE flashed some early trot, but she tired in the stretch run recently. She can be formidable with a favorable trip.
Race 2
(2) CODE MEISTER seems to be a hot commodity at the claim box, as the pacing gelding has shown fine speed at this level. He catches a weak group of pacers and can be the boss over these down the road. (1) DOUBLE IMPACT came very wide approaching the three-quarters to mow them down for the victory last time around. Now he moves to the rail and stays in same condition, so that makes him a serious threat for the repeat. (8) MARCHED MAGIC took charge in deep stretch, but was caught by the second pick Double Impact last week. He gets a tough post tonight, but can be right in the mix.
Race 3
(3) SHESAIDHESAIDISAID showed nothing in her last try, but the good news for this pacing mare is she gets the luck of the draw. Plus she has the positional speed to grab an ideal trip. (2) KEENE OLIVIA took them down the road at odds-on recently. She now moves to door number two for new connections and retains Bartlett for the assignment; quite dangerous. (1) MASSIVE ATTACK A gets serious class and post relief here, so that should help her cause against these.
Race 4
(4) MY LINDY WINNER was clearly the boss in her Pocono finale, scoring by over two lengths as the odds-on favorite. Trotter looks to be sharper than most of these, so with another fine performance the hat trick is well within the realm. (2) HOLY KOLY rallied strongly down the center of the track to get up for show money last out, however, that was against NW of 2 so this group seems to be a little tougher. (1) CHRISTOPHER CRAZO showed good early pace in his 2019 debut at Pocono and now the trotter will take his trade to the half-mile oval from the pole position; threat at his best.
Race 5
(3) MORE THAN MANY is zero for nine this year but given the pace scenario, there is a chance this pacing mare could grab an ideal trip. In conjunction with a well-timed run, she can make tonight a winning one. (6) FILLY FORTY SEVEN has flashed fine speed in her last two starts here and she seems to be the quickest of these; one to fear. (5) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA was a solid second in her previous outing, so the pacing mare might be heading in the right direction.
Race 6
Mohawk invader (7) HEY LIVVY might have been used up in the early stages last time out and now trotting miss goes downstate on the half-mile oval. She should find this group to her liking. (5) OMAHA OMAHA was sent to the front to an easy victory in her Yonkers debut. Sharp and speedy pacing mare is clearly the one to catch and beat. Based on her last two second-place finishes, (4) BROADWAY BRUISER is surely knocking at the door while seeking that first elusive 2019 victory; watch out.
Race 7
(4) MOHAWK WARRIOR is seeking his first score of the year, so the drop in class can only help his cause. Veteran pacer can show speed against these and with a favorable trip, he can mow them down. (3) SHOREVIEW has put in two sharp efforts in a row. Gelding seems to be heading in the right direction and that will make him a serious threat. (5) WHEN YOU DANCE gets class relief, a better post and Brennan has the assignment; pacing gelding is clearly not out of this.
Race 8
(5) LIGHTNING ONMYFEET has a fondness for the NW $20k ranks, as the pacer took the placing in his last trip to the post. There is an indication he is ready to go back to his winning form, if he is at his very best tonight. (2) TREMENDOUS PLAY gets a much better post, but he will need a favorable trip in order for him to contend. (1) SOMEWHERE FANCY had an excellent qualifier at Pocono on 3-20 for his 2019 debut here, so he must be respected from the fence with Brennan at the controls.
Race 9
Consistent trotter (4) PERLUCKY has been on the board in all of his seven starts this year and he is very versatile, can rate or be on the engine. With that said, the 4-year old is clearly the one to deny with Trond Smedshammer once again at the helm. (1) VOSS VOLO went off-stride at the quarter pole but made a fine recovery to finish third recently; respect if he is able to stay on gait. (7) EXARCH took them down the road and just held on for win honors in his last trip. He gets a tough post tonight, but he is surely capable of repeating with a similar effort.
Race 10
Off her last four starts, (5) CHILLIN IT DE VIE seems to be ready for an excellent performance against this group. If the right trip comes her way, she can greet the cameraman for pictures. (2) FANCY CREEK JOLENE gets serious post relief and it is good to see Brennan keeping the faith; big threat. (4) PRETTY REAL DESIRE is another one that gets the luck of the draw and the drop-down might be the ticket she needs to gets back into the swing of things.
