Yonkers: Thursday 3/23 Analysis

Brewster Smith|Mar 22, 2017
Yonkers logo

Best Bet: NEW YORK KITTY (4th)

Spot Play: ANNUITY (8th)

MEET STATS: 61 - 259 / $442.20

BEST BETS: 15 - 25 / $59.70

Race 1

(4) UPFRONT LORNE is knocking at the door based on his last two show finishes; ready to roll. (3) COPPER COAST A gets a better post and could be right in the mix. (1) ENEE WEENIE AND ME is an Ohio invader that flashed speed last out; could make some noise.

Race 2

(6) SAM has been sharp in her last two tries and clearly she fits well in here; gets the call. (2) RD BILLIE closed well to miss glory by a neck; main threat. (1) ARABELLA J was sitting in the pocket most of the way but could not get to the winner in her latest; contender.

Race 3

(5) RIVIERA did not fire in her last try, but this pacing mare does know how to get the job done. She was a very game second two trips ago and must be respected for win honors. (3) MACY BLUE CHIP comes by way of Freehold and gets post relief; factor. (4) ROCKN RUBY N rallied strongly to nail down the place spot two starts back and now she moves to a better post than in her last one; watch out.

Race 4

(1) NEW YORK KITTY might have found a better group to get back into the winner's circle; the pick with Bartlett at the helm. (3) AMANDEROSA showed good speed at the Meadowlands last out; could make some noise in here. (8) COLLAGE has been a bridesmaid in her last four trips to the post; not out of this.

Race 5

(8) EDEN PAIGE N showed life in her last start. If this mare gets a favorable trip from the 8-hole, her first score could be within reach. (2) WORLDLYDOLL was sent down the road last out against lesser company for the victory; can step it up. (5) WRAPPED TO GO was very sharp in her last four outings and she must be considered in all the exotic slots.

Race 6

(4) CHUCARO ACERO BC gets serious post relief off his fourth-place finish last time out; can boss these if given a perfect trip. (1) CLASSY HILL was not in it last out, but gelding fits well from the fence; big threat. (2) PARNU HANOVER Jersey shipper should be right in the hunt from the 2-hole; dangerous.

Race 7

(7) MACHO CHICK seems to be heading in the right direction based on her last two starts. A move forward is not out of the question. (2) MADE OF JEWELS AS came up the fence to miss glory by a nose; major player. (6) HIPNUMBERONE had dull cover in her last start, but she does fit well with these; watch out.

Race 8

(7) ANNUITY is a consistent gelding that was on the lead most the way last time around but was nailed for win honors. At his best he can boss these. (1) AZOREAN ART was facing open foes at Freehold last time out. Retains the rail and gets Brennan; contender. (5) DOUBLE YOUR BET was all alone at the wire in his Saratoga finale; don't overlook.

Race 9

(4) ROLL ON was late on the scene to grab the place spot in his recent trip. Gets a better post tonight and has every right to get the job done. (3) SIR JACK was quite dull last time around but clearly he is better than his last flop; we shall see. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN has wheeled off two straight victories against lesser company, so don't sell him short with the rise in class.

Race 10

(6) NOBLES FINESSE is a sharp and consistent gelding that has done nothing wrong in 2017. With the right trip he can once again greet the cameraman for pictures. (3) DALHOUSIE DAVE gets post relief and that might help his cause. (1) MAIINLAND KEY N got the job done wire to window for his second straight score and now he is back on the fence; watch out.

Race 11

(7) HEAVENLY BRIDE seems to be in a better spot to put it all together. Has tactical speed and she could come down the center of the track to mow them down at her best. (1) SQUARE DANCER was used very hard to grab the lead last out and was compromised, but she did hold on for the placing; big threat. (2) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N should fare much better from door number two.
