Best Bet: MACHO CHICK (10th)
Spot Play: AMBRO COURAGE N (2nd)
MEET STATS: 22 - 111 / 203.90
BEST BETS: 5 - 11 / $18.70
Race 1
(7) FOCUS POWER was sharp in his first attempt at the Hilltop and has every right to take these to task. (2) BIG BAMBU makes his return off two good qualifiers; playable. (8) UPFRONT LORNE could not get by the top two last out; post hurts tonight but could have a say in the outcome.
Race 2
(3) ARMBRO COURAGE N did not have the best of trips last time out but she fits well in here. With a favorable trip, she can get the job done. (5) RIVIERA came down the center of the track for all the glory recently. (1) PHOOS GIRL was second best in her last try and now will try to make an impact from the fence; capable.
Race 3
(1) SHE SAID gets serious post relief and Brennan had many options. Can take this at her best. (7) WRAPPED TO GO is much better than her latest and could get involved late. (6) GOTTA BE ME rallied strongly to land down the show spot last out.
Race 4
(2) CRUISINWITHMYBABY put in a good rally for show money last out and that might be an indication this mare is ready to get back to the winning groove. (4) HOOVES ON FIRST raced evenly in her last start and should show more speed against these; big threat. (5) COLLAGE was sharp in her qualifier at Freehold last out; don't overlook.
Race 5
(2) JUST BETTOR might have been used up in the early stages last time around. Gelding is very capable of getting the job done if given a better trip. (5) TYLER put in a game effort for the placing last out; factor. (3) IN COMMANDO moves down in class off an good try, missing the victory by only 3/4 length; watch out.
Race 6
(8) ADDWATER pulled from the 3-hole to just get up for the score last week. Gelding appears to be in solid form and despite the move to door number eight, this 8-year old can take another one. (2) SHADIOS was sent down the road in his latest for all the glory; main danger. (5) COPPER COAST A leaves the 8-hole for a much better slot; must be considered.
Race 7
(7) CANACO STAR put in an even trip in her last start. Mare fits with these and has tactical speed; the pick with Bartlett at the helm. (5) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N was charging down the center of the track on her way to victory recently. (3) HEY KOBE should appreciate the drop in class.
Race 8
(6) REAL FLIGHT did not fire in his last start but this gelding now moves to a new barn and Dube signs on for the drive. If the right trip comes his way, the rest will have to settle for minor awards. (3) MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT has wheeled off three straight victories; dangerous. (1) WHAT I BELIEVE clearly will have a say with the move to the fence.
Race 9
(6) BETTERLATETHNNEVER was outrun in his last trip to the post but if you throw out that effort, 8-year-old has good speed to make a quick turnaround. (2) BET THE MOON get post relief and that should help his cause. (7) RANGERS SURESHOT just missed glory by a neck last time out and should be right in the mix with these.
Race 10
(5) MACHO CHICK came from door number eight last out and closed sharply for the show spot. Mare is fit and ready to pick them up and lay them down for all the glory. (4) LET HER ROCK got to the front at the 1/4 pole and never looked back in her last trip to the post; threat again. (3) BROWN BRINNY should do much better from the 3-hole if given a favorable trip.
Race 11
(2) HI HO STEVERINO Even trip in his last try and this 10-year-old does fit well in here; all systems go to greet the cameraman for pictures. (1) MYSHARONA BLUECHIP was on the lead most of the way but did not have enough gas in the tank and held on for show money recently. (3) SKY IS THE LIMIT could have a say with a better trip.
