Race 1
(1) FOCUS POWER weakened under pressure in his local debut but he deserves another chance drawing best in this questionable field. (5) FOR A BETTOR TIME gets some post relief off a needed start and can show more tonight. (3) BIG BAMBU makes his first start back from vacation and may need a tightener.
Race 2
(3) WRAPPED TO GO raced evenly in her seasonal debut from an outside spot and the Garcia-Herrera trainee can be more involved tonight. (5) AMBRO COURAGE N bottomed from the pocket last out; prior effort was decent. (4) THE EMPIRESSISTER N hit the ticket in her last two but needs to show more late.
Race 3
(3) BET THE MOON has fallen on hard times but he gets major class relief and is tough to ignore. (2) BATTLE CALL tired after an uncovered try in his local return; he could have more late if given a ground-saving trip. (4) BIG SECRET arrived from Dover and could fit well here.
Race 4
(1) HI HO STEVERINO isn't the same horse anymore but he still can be considered a player at this level and from the rail spot he can work out a perfect stalking trip. (5) HOLDINGALLTHECARDS gets class and post relief and should be handled accordingly. (2) TYLER was very game for second last out and he's clearly capable of taking this.
Race 5
(4) SCOOTIN FOR JOY changed tactics and powered home from off the pace last out; clearly capable of repeating. (2) SWEETNSINFUL closed from behind the top choice emerging from the fog late; mare may be controlling it here. (3) HER OWN LAND can usually be counted on for share.
Race 6
(5) COPPER COAST A has something to prove at this 20K claiming level but I've seen worse longshots to take a stab with, especially if the pace falls apart. (1) PONDEROSITO draws best again and should be in line for a good trip. (3) ADDWATER won last out at odds-on and needed every inch of the stretch to get up.
Race 7
(1) CHEYENNE ROBIN was a good second last out and lands the best post for a barn that's going well now. (3) VILLAGE JESSICA should appreciate the class relief. (2) BROWN BRINNY draws better and could sit the rail to land a share.
Race 8
(3) NOBLES FINESSE has been razor-sharp and now goes for Banca via claim; I would expect the good form to roll over into his new barn. (2) R CAAN has the talent but sometimes forgets to put it all together; include but use caution. (6) SKY MCFLY has a big move but needs to be closer to the action.
Race 9
(3) MARTIAL BLISS steps up a notch off a nice front-end win for his new barn and seems sharp enough to repeat. (1) MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT was reclaimed by Adamczyk and draws best. (4) REAL FLIGHT is another switching barns and he's established at this level.
Race 10
(1) BETTERLATETHNNEVER was quickly reclaimed by Allard and he gets major post relief; he's got as good a chance as any in this wide-open event. (5) WESTERN BAYAMA debuts for DiDomenico via claim and keeps Kakaley. (3) ROCK ABSORBER moves inside and did beat this type three back.
Race 11
(5) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N has been razor-sharp in her last two and steps up a notch off the Allard claim, who has had success with her in the past. (3) MILLWOOD FAITH N gets Stratton back in the bike tonight; contender. (1) ALHAMBRA needs a trip but seems capable.
