Race 1 - $12,500 Claiming
(1) TWOMACSONESHADOW was shut out of the win column in 2019 over 31 starts but his last few races have been encouraging and he could be ready to roll from the best post. (3) BETTORIFFIC ships from Dover, joins the DiDomenico barn, picks up Brennan and improvement is expected. (2) OWN IT is a bit on the inconsistent side but is a big player with this type when in the mood. (5) RANSOM DEMAND was an upset winner last out and stays at the winning level while keeping Holland.
Race 2 – NW3 races or $41,500 lifetime
(2) FEEL THE MUSCLE has been racing pretty well over at The Meadowlands and lands in a seemingly live spot for his local debut. (1) PUMA BLUE CHIP has just been racing evenly of late but she gets post relief while facing a bit softer and the mare figures to be a player here. (5) BAZILLIONAIRE has looked much better with the hobbles added. (6) TENNESSEE TITAN hails from the Allard barn and deserves a look based on that angle.
Race 3 – NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime
(4) MOCEDES BOY has a recency edge on many of these with a start at The Meadowlands near the end of the 2019 season and while he hasn’t shown much maybe the change in scenery helps. (5) MUFASA AS hails from good connections and could be a player if ready to go off the break. (1) SWAN IN THE VALLEY has been an inconsistent type but the Allard trainee has proven competitive with this class. (2) MISS YOU KELLY has flashed decent speed in recent local tries.
Race 4 – F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts
(1) JEWEL LEHIGH A returns to Yonkers with needed class relief and the Andrew Harris trainee seems like the one to beat here as Bartlett’s choice; short price looming, however. (4) KAY’S DELIGHT stopped in her last race at The Meadowlands but her prior efforts were fine. (5) SPILLING THE BEANS beat up a weaker field across the river and that was a nice confidence-booster. (3) HALF A VIRGIN was also a recent winner at The Big M and she can be considered here for a share.
Race 5 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(6) MIGHTY MR SHARKEY N doesn’t have a whole lot of current form but he was facing much better than these when last seen locally and this seems like a good wake-up spot. (3) STEVE’S HOT ROD has been facing some good ones at Northfield and he looks like a good fit here at this bottom level. (2) SOHO LEVIATHAN A took the money and came from nowhere to win at The Meadowlands with Marohn catch-driving; Vallee is back in the bike tonight from a good inside post and he’s worth considering. (5) HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE returns locally, picks up Bartlett and does have a prior win over this surface.
Race 6 – F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts
(5) MORE THAN MANY had just one win and one second through all of 2019 but she still banked over $42K and she’s a proven player at this bottom level for Laterza. (2) QUEEN KENDALL has sharpened up recently at Freehold; Bartlett drives. (1) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N has had plenty of local success in the past and she can carry her speed a long way from this spot. (6) SOUTHWIND ION showed nothing in those two Meadowlands starts but her prior half-mile form in Canada was fine.
Race 7 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(4) EGOMANIA was unable to get involved in two starts down at Freehold from outside posts but the recent addition to the DiDomenico barn picks up co-leading driver Brennan upon arrival and a more prominent effort is expected. (2) ABERDEEN HANOVER doesn’t have a great win profile but he’s been holding his own with much better than these. (6) THORN IN YOUR SIDE now goes for the Allard barn and he’s got back class. (3) VORACITY folded up on the front end last out but he’ll be off the pace tonight and can land a minor share with a smooth trip.
Race 8 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(2) BAD LOAD gets post relief and finds a very questionable group of bottom-conditioned types; Jenn Bongiorno trainee should be prominent throughout. (6) BULLVILLE KYLE never wins but is usually competitive at this level and should offer good value. (4) BEAST MODE is another who fits here but is tough to take on top, especially at a short price. (3) ARI ALLSTAR was facing better when last seen locally.
Race 9 – NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime
(6) FINNICK ODAIR has been rock-solid recently for Team Bongiorno and his good early speed should set him up with a live (and winning) trip. (1) SENSIBILITY came up flat when it counted last time at The Meadowlands but her prior local form makes her a big player. (3) VICTORYISALLUNEED comes back to Yonkers and the Lorentzon trainee is reunited with Bartlett. (2) FULL RIGHTS has been in good form for Schnittker and this good post should land him a share.
Race 10 – F&M NW11150 in last 5 starts
(7) DUNGAL RUNDLSCRK N was a well-meant winner at The Big M she gets Brennan back in the bike for her local return; only concern for the Vallee trainee is the post. (1) FRANSCHOEK gets Bartlett in the bike from the best post; logical. (3) AMATEUR HOUR was an upset winner here three back versus similar. (6) ROCK ME BABY rallied for a small share at a big price last out with Stratton.
