MEET STATS: 16 - 53 / $94.00
BEST BETS: 1 - 5 / $3.80
Race 1
(4) POP ICON took the pocket route on his way to victory last out. Could prove a repeating threat tonight if he is able to stay close. (2) NORTHERN ASSASSIN A comes out of three consecutive runner-up spots and he does retains the 2-hole; main danger. (7) FLEM N EM N returns to the half-mile oval and gets Brennan; post hurts but he is capable.
Race 2
(5) GOT NO MONEY HONEY is seems to be heading in the right direction and it is good to see him catch a weak group of trotters; looms very tough here. Monticello invader (3) MYSTICAL GRACE has wheeled off three straight victories. Now she moves to Yonkers with a fine resume; big threat. (1) HOTROD RICHARD put in a fair qualifier here on 1/11 for his return to the races; watch out.
Race 3
Finally (2) DANCIN HILL leaves the far outside slot which very much puts him in the ballpark for win honors. Should be well positioned if he gets away cleanly. (5) SIMPLY SUSATIONAL N raced evenly for the show spot in his latest so he does have every right to move forward. (7) MYIDEALSON N showed signs of life with a mild rally for fourth money recently; could be right in the mix.
Race 4
(1) AMERICAN STEELE didn't show his customary speed recently, but he was in door number seven. Good news is now he draws the fence and he seems very capable of getting loose and controlling the tempo from the start in this otherwise fairly paceless race. (2) THE CUSE IS LOOSE did make a bid at the three-quarter pole but flattened out and held the show spot recently; consider. (6) TAKE A WISH was rallying nicely to land the second spot in her last trip; could move forward against these.
Race 5
Veteran mare (2) SHESAIDHESAIDISAID is clearly knocking at the door based on her last two tries. Has an inside post and her tactical speed should translate to a favorable trip; gets the call. (3) CUUISINWITHMYBABY showed life against better last out and now she moves back down in class; factor. (5) DALI DELIGHT will need a better trip than she had in her last one; do not overlook.
Race 6
(1) POPPY DRAYTON N closed well to land the show spot in her last trip to the post. Mare figures to appreciate the inside draw and Bartlett is keeping the faith and sticks with her; at her best she can boss these. (3) SWEETNFAMOUS comes by way of Dover and she does have fine early zip; big player. (4) SHEWEARSTHEPANTS did not fire in her Philly finale, but with a better trip she can be right in the mix.
Race 7
Will give the nod to (6) SECRET BRO to put it all together against these. Trotting gelding is in a good spot as any in here and he does have a useful stalking kind of style; worth consideration. (1) PERLUCKY was sent down the road in his last trip for his second straight score. Moves up the ladder but he moves to the fence and that should help his cause for the three-peat. (8) SEVEN KNIGHTS gets a bad draw but he does have good early trot; consider.
Race 8
Dover shipper (2) CLASSY CHAPEL N moves to Yonkers and was facing much better stock. If she gets a good position, she can top these with a well-judged run. (1) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA took them all the way for her second straight victory last out and she appears to be the one to fear. (5) BRING ME DIAMONDS is knocking at the door based on her last two tries; watch out.
Race 9
(3) SWIFT AS A SHADOW was seeking his fourth consecutive victory last out, but he got going very late and landed the fourth spot. Should appreciate the inside draw and he can make tonight a winning one if he gets a better setup than he did in his last try. Veteran (2) DIAMOND COWBOY was very game recently but was no match for the eventual winner Rural Art; main danger. (1) BBS HARLEY gets post relief and that should help his cause.
Race 10
(4) BANDOL ROSE is on fire scoring her second consecutive victory last time around. If she gets away cleanly, the rest will have to settle for minor awards. (1) HASHTAGMADEYALOOK moves back to the rail and it is good to see Bartlett with the assignment; big threat. (6) CLIVE BIGSBY raced evenly in his last start and he does have tactical speed; respect.
Race 11
(1) DENVER SEELSTER makes his return to Yonkers and the last time he did step on the half-mile oval he was fast-closing third on 10/29/18. Draws well so if he is at his best, he can greet the camera operator for pictures. (3) FIREBALL did flashed some early zip in his Freehold finale and he does fit with these; consider. (2) DOJEA SOLO might have been used up in the early stages last time around so he does merit some consideration.
