Yonkers: Thursday 11/14 Analysis

2019 STATS: 497 - 1246 / $2,302.30 (-$189.70)
BEST BETS: 59 - 106 / $186.60 (-$25.40)
Best Bet: AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A (1st)
Spot Play: DUDESALADY (7th)
Race 1 - $12,500/$15,000 Claiming
(3) AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A goes to the Banca barn off the claim off a series of good efforts and he lands the best possible post while in for the $15K tag; Bartlett should be looking to take him down the road. (2) BEYONDTHESILENCE N is clearly feeling good again for Tritton and looks like the main threat. (5) BAD LOAD was empty in his last couple versus age-restricted types and the Jenn Bongiorno trainee drops in for a tag; improves? (8) BIG TURN ON faces a major uphill climb but maybe he can sneak into the number at a big price.
Race 2 – NW 3 races or $25,200 lifetime
(3) FRESHETTE HANOVER ships in from Canada off a series of good efforts both at Mohawk and the smaller tracks; filly looks well-spotted here. (4) CLASSY GUY appeared home-free last week when he broke early stretch; obvious threat again. (1) CHECKMATE HILL was better in his last start and he can tag along for a share. (6) MY PURE HONEY is still a maiden but she’s been sneaky-good recently for Chuck Connor, Jr.; use underneath for a share.
Race 3 - $20,000 Claiming
(2) SIR MACHALOT had some traffic issues last week as the winner powered off for fun; he goes to Banca off the claim and assuming he maintains his good form he can take this. (5) SEELEY MAN obviously has issues but he’s been in to go every week, with solid results. (3) BELIEVEINTHESPIRIT arrives from Philly for Team Bongiorno where he’s been racing competitively versus their $20K claimers. (4) MACH ONE didn’t have the best of trips last start but overall he’s been good.
Race 4 – NW 4 races or $50,000 lifetime
(4) CISCO PAL regained his stride last week and was a pocket-rocket winner; he gets Holland back in the bike tonight and is one of many contenders here in this competitive race. (1) WINDSONG PIONEER put the hobbles back on for his last start and was a big winner at double-digit odds; he draws best and a repeat effort puts him right in the hunt. (3) GETTING MESSI took the money and broke leaving upon arrival from the Maritimes; much better price looming tonight if you want to give him another try. (7) HL REVADON was in the Yonkers Trot (and picked up a check) and recently he’s been looking good at Saratoga; only problem here is the post.
Race 5 – NW5000 in last 5 starts
(4) ZIGGY SKY dropped to this basement conditioned level last start and woke up in a big way for a barn that’s showing signs of life; he deserves the top spot off that effort. (1) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR doesn’t seem to win as often as he should but he hit the ticket in his last two starts and should be in line for a good trip here. (6) KNOCKING AROUND has been showing live moves recently and takes a helpful drop in class. (7) BUNGALOW BILL N gets a catch-driver again for Vallee and did show speed last week with Bartlett in the bike; Stratton drives tonight and he should be a healthy price.
Race 6 – NW 4 races or $50,000 lifetime
(5) VICTORYISALLUNEED left alertly for a seat last week and trotted just evenly from there but it was a useful effort and the filly can show more tonight for strong connections. (6) WISHYOU’DTELLME is a bit on the inconsistent side but one of his better efforts clearly makes him a contender. (3) PILGRIMS LASS wasn’t bad but wasn’t great last week; early speed works in her favor. (1) SWAN IN THE VALLEY will likely be saving ground and can pick up a small share.
Race 7 – F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts
(5) DUDESALADY seems to have a serious class edge on these; obviously her form is a bit questionable but she’s beaten better than these in the past. Marohn’s choice. (7) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI lands another outside post but she has a bit of tactical speed and could be a big player here if Holland can get her in play. (1) MILADY DENVER A beat a weak field last start at Monticello but she may have regained some confidence and she does have early speed from the best post. (6) MY KIWI LADY N gets Stratton in the bike; small share?
Race 8 – NW15000 in last 5 starts
(5) ROCKAPELO hasn’t had a particularly good 4-year-old season but he’s looked better recently while hooked up in some wicked miles at Philly versus strong competition; Bartlett’s choice may have found the winning spot. (1) BENHOPE RULZ N gets class and post relief for Vallee; recent import should be a player from start to finish. (3) PHOTOBOMBR HANOVER is back up a notch in class off an easy win. (2) MILLIONDOLLAR WAVE moves inside and can save ground to land a minor share.
Race 9 – NW 7 races or $75,000 lifetime
(1) PHOTO BOMBER was a little disappointing last week with no early speed or late punch but the recent Burke acquisition can try taking these wire-to-wire tonight. (3) FAVORITE UNCLE loses Brennan to the top choice after a strong pocket-sitting win last out and he’s an obvious threat to repeat. (2) TOPSPIN S should be close-up throughout which can land her a nice share. (6) RACEACE was looking very good prior to last week’s sick scratch but he’s right back in to go; post hurts and he’ll need a live trip to threaten.
Race 10 – NW20000 in last 5 starts
(1) SAULSBROOK DEPUTY has raced very well in his last three for Banca and the gelding looks like the one to beat in the finale. (4) SOMEWHERE FANCY is a fringe Open-type when he’s feeling good and the Allard trainee should appreciate this drop in class. (2) VINNY GAMBINI N has plenty to prove versus some more seasoned foes but he’s totally turned it around since shipping in to Yonkers. (7) I’M SOME GRADUATE is at a level where he can certainly do some damage but the post hurts; does Brennan take a shot and send him? Maybe the tote board will offer some clues.
