Race 1
(1) LUCKY MAN is clearly a better horse from off the pace at this stage in his career; let's hope new driver Brennan recognizes that. (7) HEADFORTHEBEACH has raced well since arriving for Banca and look...Jason Bartlett is back driving! (2) DINNER GUEST, much like the top choice, is still capable with this type; Dube may be cutting the mile.
Race 2
(2) PC'S WILDCARD finished willingly from too far back last week and the post relief here should be a big help. (1) NONO LINDY was off poorly but finished fast last out; he'll be the one to beat with a better getaway. (4) GABE THE BEAR DEAN disappointed two back as the heavy favorite; price will be better tonight.
Race 3
(4) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N faltered last week at the pocket sitter rolled by but he deserves another chance for a barn that's going well now. (2) CHEYENNE JEFFREY should be a threat at this basement level with the good post. (1) POP ICON ships in from Monti where he's been racing well at their higher-conditioned levels and he draws best; must include.
Race 4
(3) GLAMORAL has rallied very nicely in her last two and she only needs a halfway decent trip here to convert. (4) MAC'S SECURE gets needed post relief and will likely be winging early. (2) MAYA SCAPE hasn't been bad recently and gets Bartlett tonight from a good post.
Race 5
(2) BULLVILLE KYLE doesn't win often but he always represents himself well at this level from good posts. (6) BRUNELLO N didn't fire last week after getting away a step slow and he may be more aggressive with Dube driving. (5) PASS THEM BY N has fallen on some hard times but he drops in class and may awaken with the barn change.
Race 6
(7) BARYNYA N flew home from nowhere last week and almost got there; obviously she needs some help from this spot but the price should be right. (1) LO HOLD A MOONBEAN was a winner three back from an inside spot. (2) PHYLLIS JEAN returns to the East coast after facing some decent competition in Chicago; mare is having a nice season.
Race 7
(6) SUCH AN ANGEL was buried from outside posts versus tough NYSS competition in his last three; 3-year-old seems to have a class edge on these. (4) SODA PUMP was much-improved in his last two at Philly. (2) MAJESTIC MISTRESS can grind a long way and the mare may be close enough to strike from this spot.
Race 8
(9) MACY BLUE CHIP N is still looking for that elusive first seasonal win but she returns with class relief and will be a big threat with a a good second-tier departure. (2) AMERICAN ALIVE has raced very well in her last few and always offers value. (6) HIPNUMBERONE was facing better when last at Yonkers.
Race 9
(3) JOYFUL GAME returns from a failed try in stakes races at Hawthorne but the mare was racing very well here in prior starts. (2) NORTHERN SIOREE gets major post relief, picks up Bartlett and will attract plenty of attention at the windows. (5) DEUCES FOR CHARITY got a long-overdue win last week and the Allard trainee is certainly capable of repeating.
Race 10
(3) CELEBRITY RUTH has had a big season for Smedshammer and should be using this race as a nice tune-up for the NYSS final. (1) BROADWAY JO ELL will be in line for a perfect trip from this spot. (6) ULTIMATE SHOPPER has clear ability and can be a closing threat if she can mind her manners,
Race 11
(2) GHOST PINE was a good second two back versus better and realistically has no excuse to fail from this spot. (1) WESTERN YOUNG GUN was nailed by a million-to-one shot last week after sitting the trip; he should be no worse than the pocket again from this spot. (4) ANNIHILATOR looks for four straight, may be a bit cheap but the Running Aces shippers seem to fit well here; use underneath at a price.
Race 12
(6) ROLAND N ROCK makes his annual trip back to Yonkers after toying with his Iowa fair rivals; he's a legit Open-type horse and I'll hope he's ready to go. (7) SOMEWHERE FANCY has plenty of class and has to be considered despite the poor post. (3) CHANGE STRIDE N can save ground from this spot and land a share for Vallee.
