Yonkers: Thursday 10/4 Analysis

Best Bet: OCEAN COLONY (4th)
Spot Play: MISS IRISH ROSE A (3rd)
MEET STATS: 404 - 1130 / $2,179.00)
BEST BETS: 54 - 96 / $177.60
Race 1
(2) SNEAKY GIRL took some money last out and just raced okay in a weak field; she gets some post relief while facing no standouts and may have more to offer tonight. (4) AMERICAN CHEER makes the most sense getting post and class relief with the top driver but she'll be overbet. (6) LOOKOUT STOKK ZONE is actually pretty sharp now but can't get any luck with the post draw; use underneath as a late threat.
Race 2
(3) SILVER BUCKEYE had plenty of trot between those breaks in his local debut and the Allard trainee will be a big threat if he can stay flat. (4) BROADWAY GABRIELLE has looked like a new horse since Bartlett took over. (1) MY COUNTRY BOY has raced decently enough in his last three local starts and he draws best.
Race 3
(7) MISS IRISH ROSE A lands yet another poor post for Stalbaum but he's tough to pass on in this weak field. (1) CERTIFIED IDEAL should be right there from start to finish but I'm not confident that the camera-shy mare can get it done. (3) KAY'S DELIGHT gets Bartlett in the bike for her local return but she's nothing special at 2/1 morning line.
Race 4
(3) OCEAN COLONY has looked much better since moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and he plunges in class to meet a blank field; 4-year-old may go off 1/9 in this spot. (7) MIGHTY AMERICAN N hasn't done much recently and is stuck with another poor post but he doesn't have to beat much to get up for second. (4) WINDSONG NAPOLEON had no chance last week and he does look like one of the more logical candidates to hit the ticket.
Race 5
(2) MORE THAN MANY just missed last week off a pocket ride; mare is proven at this level and draws inside her main competition. (4) AMANDEROSA gets Bartlett in the bike again and looks like the main threat. (3) CHEYENNE TRIENGEL returns from Philly with both class and post relief.
Race 6
(3) SUNKEN TREASURE hasn't been awful in his recent tries and he meets a field with some suspect rivals. (1) MATEO looms the one to beat but isn't proven enough to accept a short price. (4) GYPSY LEATHER faltered on the front end last week but still remains a threat at this level.
Race 7
(3) DEO added the trotting hobbles last week, behaved himself and just missed; French import seems ready to score. (4) VATANNA likely needed that last start and could have more to offer tonight. (5) VOLARE invades from Pocono for Allard and has flashed good speed in his last two.
Race 8
(2) BROADWAY CREDIT blew the doors off of similar last out and figures to repeat at a short price. (1) SEVEN KNIGHTS may track from the pocket from start to finish. (4) SHOW EM ALL LINDY was second best to the top one two back but does show recent breaks; use caution.
Race 9
(2) ONE AND ONLY offered a solid late kick to surge by late and make it two straight; Ruiz trainee may be sharp enough now to take another. (3) ROCK ICON has looked like a new horse recently and he'll be favored to take his fifth straight. (5) ARMABLUECHIPBOY N gets Brennan back in the bike with some post relief.
Race 10
(3) SPORTSKEEPER dropped to this level and finished well last week after shaking free a bit too late; veteran gets top billing from this spot. (1) DURANT did win four back from a similar spot. (5) PERCY'S Z TAM takes a needed drop in class for good connections and seems capable of awakening.
Race 11
(7) SOUTHWIND CRUZE was a good second to the 1/9 Sortie last week upon moving to the Bongiorno barn and he gets the call despite the outside post. (1) TORKIL raced pretty well first out off the Tom Corelli claim. (6) LINDSEY'S PRIDE did finish third in the Yonkers Trot which has to count for something.
Race 12
(2) THE REAL ONE returns locally and gets Bartlett in the bike for the injured Pat Lachance...interesting. (5) RUN ONEOVER N has come up a bit short in his last few but still has the class and ability to go with these and would be no surprise. (1) VAPOUR N is up in class off a win and may hang around for a share.
