Best Bet: INTOVIEW (7th)
Spot Play: IM THE MUSCLE (9th)
MEET STATS: 450 - 1246 / $2,413.50
BEST BETS: 62 - 107 / $200.10
Race 1
(6) MILLIONDOLLAR WAVE dropped to this level last week and was bit too revved up on the lead. Give him another chance at what should be a fair price; Marohn's choice. (3) TODDLER TANTRUM gets class and post relief in his second start since moving to the DiDomenico barn and he looms a big player from this spot. (1) PARKLANE EAGLE was a winner when last at this NW5000 level.
Race 2
(4) PUMA BLUE CHIP ships in from Pocono into a pretty soft spot and gets a huge driver upgrade to Stratton. (1) DONTTELLVOULA just missed last week at a big price; filly can obviously take this but won't offer nearly as much value tonight. (7) GOT NO MONEY HONEY could offer some early speed if he stays flat.
Race 3
(3) I'M A GIFT was close up last out after sitting a perfect trip and the trotting-bred pacer is proven at this level. (1) NATURAL LEDA raced very well in last and makes plenty of sense from this spot but his trainer is 0 for 61. (7) ONEISALONELYNUMBER went parked the mile in his second start at this reduced level and didn't tire that badly.
Race 4
(6) LION SAFARI AS ships in for connections that have had plenty of success here with these types; Bartlett's choice. (1) DELCREST HOLIDAY moved to the Burke barn last week upon arrival and blew up on the lead; another chance? (2) SOUTHWIND ANGELICA may appreciate the change in scenery.
Race 5
(3) ROCK ICON didn't try leaving from the outside post last week and therefore had no chance, but he did rally for a minor award. He should be a threat moving back inside. (2) CHUCARO ACERO BC is back in for a tag looking for two straight. (1) MACH ONE has been in good form and the inside draw only helps his cause.
Race 6
(7) VATANNA needed some room last out but could not get clear yet still missed by only a nose; Bartlett drives again and she should offer good value from this tough spot. Worth a look. (3) HAVEITALLTOGETHER ships from Kentucky and moves to the Allard barn; trotter should fit well here. (4) DEO has looked better with the hobbles added.
Race 7
(3) INTOVIEW has taken five straight for the Garcia-Herrera barn; why not another? (1) BARYNYA A goes for new connections off the claim and gets major post relief. (5) OUR GAMMA LADY N may be a touch overmatched at this level but perhaps he can land a minor share.
Race 8
(2) BETTOREVER lacked the knockout punch off cover last week but he lands his best post in some time and I'll give him one more chance. (5) NEW WORLD ORDER gets class relief in his second U.S. start and I suspect he'll attract some attention at the windows. (1) MACON GEORGIA A needs to show more but at least Stratton sticks with him.
Race 9
(6) IM THE MUSCLE returns locally for Allard and raced very well here in both overnights and Sire Stakes; he clearly deserves top billing. (5) SOUTHWIND CRUZE has come close recently but can't get over the hump; second best again? (2) SHORETHING FASHION will get tested locally but has been racing well up at Plainridge.
Race 10
(6) SPORTY SPOOK A raced pretty well last week to hold for a board spot and he finds a pretty soft NW20000 field; worth a look at what should be a decent price. (8) PROVEN DESIRE would clearly be the top choice if not for the post; can Sears get him involved? (3) BLAISE MM HANOVER picks up Bartlett and does have good speed.
