Race 1
(1) DIRTY DEVIL draws best for top connections and should be revved up for a big effort. (5) LUCKY MAN folded up at odds-on last out but his prior effort was solid. (6) CARTOON DADDY qualified effectively enough off those two lame scratches.
Race 2
(2) IL MAGO returns locally and has had some good efforts here in the past versus better. (1) GET TO DOIN IT drops back down to a more competitive level. (3) XTATIC HANOVER has stayed trotting in his last few and he's an obvious threat if he minds his manners.
Race 3
(5) TOSS CARTWRIGHT didn't race badly last out with an amateur driver in the bike and now he picks up Bartlett; routine selecting. (10) STORMONT WIZARD ships from Mohawk, joins the Burke barn and could show improvement. (4) TORNADO TIM hasn't done much this year for the Allard barn but he's capable of better.
Race 4
(1) INFINITI AS ships from Ohio for good trotting connections and the gelding looks like a perfect fit here. (2) RUN AND TELL PAP was a sharp pocket-sitting winner last week versus similar. (5) CONSOLIDATOR shipped in and jogged versus a weak group but the mare clearly could have more to offer.
Race 5
(2) TIRADE HANOVER broke early in last week's Open but his prior efforts were solid; Sears gets the call today. (3) CELEBRITY EVENTSY was a big eight-hole winner upon arrival and she gets a free ride at this level with Goodell driving again; mare seems sharp enough to handle the added distance. (4) WINGS OF ROYALTY has class and should be considered.
Race 6
(2) GEORGIE'S POCKETS was a very willing second last week versus a tough winner and he gets a generous post here versus a weaker-than-usual Open. (6) TACO TUESDAY has been behaving for the Harmon barn; big threat. (1) DEWYCOLORINTHELINE will be close up throughout from this rail assignment.
Race 7
(7) SCREAMING CONWAY has been pretty sharp recently and should be a big price from this spot; worth including. (1) MUSCLES ON FIRE is the one to beat but will be overbet. (4) KRONWALL should be a speed factor.
Race 8
(1) BIG BILL BREEZE was second best to a tough shipper last week and he should take control with few excuses. (4) SIM BROWN and (5) PC'S WILDCARD may both be early speed players.
Race 9
(6) I C CAVIAR was moving on the final turn last week in an added-distance event before breaking; Banca trainee fits with this type and should be a good price. (5) AUSPICIOUS HANOVER debuts for Allard off the claim and picks up Sears. (4) CHARLES VII is another going for new connectons today and he merits consideration.
Race 10
(3) DW'S NY YANK hasn't been at his best recently but the rugged veteran is a threat to take these all the way on the front end. (5) CENTURION ATM has class for Svanstedt but I'm starting to get the feeling he's overrated. (6) CRAZY ABOUT PAT stayed trotting last week and that's a positive step.
Race 11
(5) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN has some ugly-looking lines but he meets a field devoid of early speed and maybe Holland will get along with him. (2) PLATOON SEELSTER doesn't win often but is always a late threat. (1) TIME OUTA JAIL is also another closer and the flat mile may not work to his advantage,
Race 12
(2) ANNUITY drops back to a winning level while moving inside; lots to like. (4) SURE FIRED BET also drops back to the level of his last win. (1) BETTOR REASON N has been away a while and likely needs a start.
