Yonkers: Sunday 8/5 Analysis

Race 1
(6) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN has been razor-sharp for an extended period of time and he can make an impact from this decent starting assignment. (5) NF HAPPENSTANCE had a less-than-ideal trip last out but the mare will likely have a clear path to the lead which will make her a threat to go all the way. (8) SUCH AN ANGEL was a blistering winner here two back.
Race 2
(3) BARRY BLACK held very well while uncovered a long way last week versus some classy foes and that was just his first start upon arrival from France; a similar effort can take this. (1) BIONESS alraday has two U.S. wins under his belt and he picks up Sears for his local debut. (5) DEO looked like he was going right by last week when he broke turning home; consider.
Race 3
(6) URSIS DES CAILLONS was looked super in two qualifiers for Team Bongiorno and I expect the French import to be ready to roll; I wouldn't expect the 9/1 price that he's listed on the morning line, however. (3) AKHENATION ships in off a nice win over the half-miler at Saratoga. (9) UNDICI didn't do much in his two Yonkers starts but maybe the acclimating trips helped.
Race 4
(10) COMMANDER PARIS N has looked very sharp winning twice already upon arrival from Down-Under; Sheridan trainee gets more of a test today but might be worth a play if the price is right. (1) LILY'S SWAN POND draws inside and does fit with these. (3) BLUEBIRD JESSE was poor last week gapping cover but he's much better than that.
Race 5
(8) NEWCASTLE has had a very poor 2018 season but note the barn change here to Jenn Bongiorno; why not take a look at him in a race with no standouts. (1) EXPLOSIVE RIDGE bumps up in class for Bartlett/Banca off an easy uncovered win. (5) KENNEL BUDDY closed well last week just missing at a big price.
Race 6
(6) MARCH AWARENESS hasn't been at his best recently but the Garcia-Herrera trainee is more than capable with a smooth trip. (3) GONNA FLY returns locally with class relief and Stratton back driving. (7) TOBER took a step in the right direction last week and Bartlett sticks with him.
Race 7
(3) SHOWMEYOURGUNS seems to land in a winning spot, assuming a competent steer from his Italian amateur driver. (2) GLOBAL REVOLUTION gets some class relief and lands a good post with a driver who knows his way around this track. (4) ON THE PODIUM has good early speed at his disposal.
Race 8
(6) GRUDEN is loaded with talent and only needs to stay flat to handle these. (3) PRICELESSPOSSESSION just missed last week in a good effort. (4) ANNAPOLIS HALL bumps up a notch to NW8 off an easy win last out at odds-on.
Race 9
(2) MERRY HANOVER has just been racing evenly of late but she made some nice moves in some prior efforts and could be a good price here in this tough-to-figure race. (3) BEACH CREDIT was a fortunate winner last week as a late challenger broke but it was still a good effort. (9) KEYSTONE CHARGER is another new addition to the Jenn Bongiorno barn who must be considered.
Race 10
(5) IM THE MUSCLE was tons the best last week in that Excelsior event and if he stays trotting he should easily repeat. (3) SEVEN KNIGHTS has good speed and does have a win over this surface. (8) KEYSTONE SERGEANT finally broke through into the win column last out at Philly after burning tons of money; he should be a good price from this outside spot.
