Best Bet: VERSACHET (6th) Spot Play: MOSTINTERESTINGMAN (1st) MEET STATS: 355 - 986 / $1,975.20 BEST BETS: 48 - 84 / $158.80 Race 1 (4) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN never got involved last week but he switches back to Stratton today and figures to be a major player from this spot. (6) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL picks up Brian Sears today for the Julie Miller barn and don't forget he was last year's Yonkers Trot winner. (5) ROSE RUN SYDNEY didn't fire in stakes action out of town but the mare was a sharp winner three back in the Open. Race 2 (10) CASH ME OUT lands in a very tricky starting spot but the classy gelding fits perfectly with this type, should be a good price and could threaten with some racing luck. (4) CELEBRITY RUTH gets obvious class relief and Smedshammer opts to get in the bike himself rather than enlist a catch-driver. (1) NEWCASTLE has quickly rounded back into form since the move to the Jenn Bongiorno barn but he does face tougher today. Race 3 (4) URSIS DES CAILLONS has looked super for Team Bongiorno and should have no problem repeating at this 1 1/2 mile distance as the favorite. (1) DEO was a trip-sitting winner in the other French Trotting Club split last week and the DiDomenico trainee already has three local wins (and a late break prevented a fourth). (3) BIONESS flashed good speed last week and held gamely for second behind the top choice. Race 4 (1) YES MICKEY has been a bit slow to get underway this season but the Svanstedt trainee gets major class relief and picks up Bartlett. (5) PRICELESSPOSSESSION was wiped out last week but her prior efforts were solid for Abbatiello and she may be ignored in the wagering. (9) SORTIE has loads of ability but also a breaking problem; use EXTREME caution if including him on your tickets, especially from the second-tier starting spot. Race 5 (5) STAR STUDDED CAST was reclaimed recently by Allard and showed improvement last week; Sears has tactical options from this midpack post in this wide-open affair. (4) BLUE SWAN had a tough trip on the rim last week; he was Stratton's choice for a small barn that's had some local success recently with trotters. (6) PLATOON SEELSTER drops in class and was second best when last at this level; closing threat. Race 6 (5) VERSACHET got parked for three laps last week and held very stubbornly with his trainer in the sulky; he gets an impossible to ignore driver upgrade to Stratton today. (4) UHLAN NOIR was collared right at the wire from both sides last out; he's a clear player again. (2) AIGLE DE LA VALLEE seems to have shown improvement with the trotting hobbles added. Hopefully somebody tweets out the results soon after it's official for our overseas audience, because for some reason this race isn't included in the French commingled simulcast package. Race 7 (5) NF HAPPENSTANCE has had a heck of a year with almost $200K banked; if Jack Parker, Jr can get the mare to the front she may be tough to catch. (3) BLUEBIRD JESSE was a very game uncovered winner last week and he can build off that effort moving back up the ladder. (4) DON DREAM has looked good in his two Yonkers starts; he really gets tested for class here but we'll see if he can handle it; Bartlett's choice. Race 8 (2) SOUL TRAIN lands in a good inside spot and picks up the leading driver; lots to like. (4) O U SEXY GUY has been racing just evenly with better and takes a needed drop in class. (1) MR PROTAB wasn't bad last week showing decent early and late foot. Race 9 (3) CHASIN' DREAMS rallied to be second best to a huge runaway favorite last week and from this spot today Sears should look to play bully. (1) HEY JUDY JUDY was outfinished last out but did make a nice uncovered move to the leader and she can improve off that effort. (5) STRIKING ENCORE and (7) MR QUAKER are a couple of Indiana shippers who land in live barns and bear following not only for today but in the weeks ahead. Race 10 (1) THE LIONKING AS and (5) NORTHERN CREDIT are coming out of the same race where they split all the money and both broke; one of these two should bounce back and I'll give the slight edge to the one with the best post. (7) SHOW EM ALL LINDY ships in for Allard off a win but has to deal with the outside post. Race 11 (5) PIECE OF THE ROCK has shown that he's capable at this level with the right trip and he should be a halfway decent price. (6) WINDS OF CHANGE is out almost a month and returns at a greatly reduced claiming level; use caution. (2) WYNBERG COURAGE N sometimes plods along but he's been known to show up with a big effort from time to time. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
