Yonkers: Sunday 7/30 Analysis

Best Bet: MUSCLES ON FIRE (11th)
Spot Play: TOSS CARTWRIGHT (2nd)
MEET STATS: 273 - 781 / $1,528.90
BEST BETS: 39 - 67 / $132.10
Race 1
(2) DINNER GUEST and (3) DIRTY DEVIL should both be able to step around the rail horse and the two veterans can sit 1-2 throughout. (7) BET TOGETHER returns locally at a reduced level and would be a bigger threat if not for the post.
Race 2
(6) TOSS CARTWRIGHT has raced well this year with both amateurs and 'oldtimers' driving; gelding faces nothing special here and gets a very generous morning line. (1) BRICKYARD CLASSIC gets needed class and post relief for Ray Baynes. (7) ORANGE BIGI returns locally, picks up Bartlett and has had success here in the past.
Race 3
(3) GONNA FLY has been well-traveled recently but does seem to fit with this type. (7) SIM BROWN has the speed to overcome the outside post. (1) WINDSUN FIREBALL comes in off a win at Monti and draws best.
Race 4
(1) SOUL TRAIN isn't what he used to be but the veteran can still thrive in spots such as this. (2) HERE COMES NUMBERS looks for four straight and may try it on the engine again. (4) WESTERN CREDIT closed a ton last out from last to snag second; Allard trainee gets post relief today.
Race 5
(8) HOMICIDE HUNTER has been razor-sharp and is right back in the box going for another $68K off last week's sharp front-end effort; no reason to think he can't repeat from his assigned outside post. (11) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN didn't fire last out in his local return, now in the Allard barn. Perhaps he shows more today. (7) RUBBER DUCK is a proven commodity at this level and he wasn't that far off in last.
Race 6
(5) CHARLES VII was sent to the front and couldn't last the duration last week; perhaps he reverts to off-the-pace tactics today in this added-distance event. (12) TOBER is arguably best here but has to navigate the tricky starting spot. (3) GEORGIE'S POCKETS is up in class after blowing away cheaper for Team Bongiorno.
Race 7
(6) CASH ME OUT has been good pretty much all season; he does show a break when last at Yonkers but if he minds his manners he looms the one to beat. (9) MONEY MAVEN drops again in search of a wakeup call. (3) TRUMPHANT'S CHIP has rallied well in two of his last three.
Race 8
(2) NOBLE POWER returns locally off a nice two-move effort at Pocono and faces a bunch of question marks here; worth a play. (1) OOH RAH needs to behave himself and work out a smooth trip but we know the ability is there. (9) XTATIC HANOVER keeps breaking but if he decides to trot watch out!
Race 9
(6) SWEET TALKIN SATIN takes an alarming drop in class off an effort where he broke but if all is right he can clobber these; watch the board. (4) ANNUITY didn't race badly here in two starts off the Allard claim and he returns now at a reduced level. (1) THEREISAPACEFORUS has zero current form but the well bred gelding has raced well here in the past.
Race 10
(5) BIG BILL BREEZE didn't get involved last week at The Big M for Lachance but he looked good in that qualifier the start prior; he faces a very tough-to-figure field here and I suspect he'll take some action off that 20/1 morning line. (4) UNCLE LEROY was never involved last week in that bulky field; this is an easier spot. (8) BROOKLYN BOND could be a closing threat at a big price if he minds his manners.
Race 11
(2) MUSCLES ON FIRE was a solid second last week and a a repeat of that effort can take this. (5) LEXI MARIE has been showing good speed out of town for Smedshammer. (3) CASINO CUTIE IT can save ground from this spot, try to get lucky late and close for a share.
Race 12
(1) PIECE OF THE ROCK has been holding his own down at Philly at the $20K claiming level and he ships in landing the rail for this event; capable of tripping out in the finale. (3) FLEM N EM N didn't disgrace himself last week and drops back to the level of his last win. (6) STATION THREEOHSIX drops a notch in class and gets an interesting driver change to Bartlett.
