MEET STATS: 300 - 848 / $1,693.20
BEST BETS: 41 - 72 / $134.60
Race 1
(10) UKNOW WHAT TO DO had been much-improved since shipping south to join the Allard barn; seems like he only needs a smooth second-tier trip to take this. (2) BLUE SPARK likely needed last week's race and now drops in class. (5) TOBER continues to befuddle; will he ever get his act together?
Race 2
(9) BLUEBIRD JESSE takes a meaningful drop from the Open ranks into this easier spot and last week's race was pretty good. (2) FASHION CREDITOR has put in consecutive good efforts; threat. (4) CONSOLIDATOR gets some needed post relief but he's quickly running out of excuses.
Race 3
(1) STAR STUDDED CAST has been very good out of town for Garcia-Herrera and the gelding should fit well with these. (10) TROPICAL TRICE takes a logical step up in class off two solid efforts. (5) MUSCLE AVE got lost last week versus better but was close up the two prior starts at this level.
Race 4
(3) DEO was a strong going-away winner in his first start after arriving from France and I'm sure the added distance here won't be a problem. (8) LOVELY LINNLY has been on a roll out of town and seems to have the speed to overcome the eight hole; Bartlett's choice. (2) HEY JUDY JUDY was close up two back; post relief helps.
Race 5
(4) CASA PALMERA has been going fast enough out of town to assume that she'll fit in well here; she did break here in her lone local try last year, however but has been sure-footed since. (1) SHAWNEE BEAUTY paid a nice price last week after burning money the two prior starts; she's a player despite the bump in class. (3) MERRY HANOVER has made live moves in the past and won't be too far back.
Race 6
(4) NORTHERN CREDIT had a very useful initial try here in his first start for Team Bongiorno and he can be much better today; Sears drives. (5) JS MISS CAROLYN was a solid second in her last two. (1) AMERICAN STEELE has speed and the best post.
Race 7
(3) EXPLOSIVE RIDGE raced very willingly first start in his new barn and the Banca trainee should be even tighter today. (5) SHOWMEYOURGUNS has hung in well despite tough trips in his last two at the added distance. (4) BINGO QUEEN should be a player at this basement level and you can never count her out.
Race 8
(3) WILD SMILE was a good second at this level two back and the veteran fits nicely with these. (4) HERE'S THE MAGIC stays at the same level off the claim and he's clearly a player if he maintains his form. (2) AWAY MY BABY has some speed and draws inside his main competition.
Race 9
(6) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN has been extremely sharp in all recent, including last week where he just missed to Homicide Hunter; if Stratton can get him away cleanly and near the front he can take this. (7) WESLYNN DANCER gave way at the added distance last out but we all saw how good she was in her prior start. (8) IN SECRET is as classy as they come but will he be done in by post eight?
Race 10
(1) CASH ME OUT returns from Saratoga and he's had plenty of success here in the past; down the road? (5) RUBBER DUCK was hounded practically every step last week and gave way late; he should be tighter off that try. (4) ANDY M was a winner at this level four back when Bartlett drove.
Race 11
(1) THE LAST CHAPTER made a move to the front last week and it was all over; he's clearly capable of repeating. (7) TORKIL should be firing off the gate which should set him up for a great trip. (2) ACES AND EIGHTS gets an important driver switch to Stratton.
Race 12
(5) EXIT CAM always seems to come up just short but he's raced very well in his last two and always offers value. (8) BLAISE MM HANOVER is stuck outside but I can't imagine Bartlett getting away last. (4) IDEAL ROCKY had nothing to offer in his last two but he does get needed class relief today.
