Race 1
(4) HES A CASTOFF finished up willingly last out from a similar spot and he looks as good as any in here. (5) SIM BROWN didn't fire with his best in last but he has early speed with Bartlett driving. (3) TREASURE KEYS K returns locally where he was a fast closing second two back.
Race 2
(8) RESOLVE and (7) OBRIGADO both return from stellar efforts in stakes action at Northfield and they were one-two when last seen here. This is a very tough field and these are two tough post assignments but collectively they are classier and better than the rest. One of them should win. (12) HEMI SEELSTER was a super winner last out grinding forever.
Race 3
(12) SPRINGBANK SAM N gets some needed class relief and could be strongest late with a smooth second-tier trip. (7) PRIME POWER N has been super in his two U.S starts and must be included. (2) TOBER also takes a needed drop in class and should be close to the front.
Race 4
(3) HOME'N DRY has finished willingly in his last two local starts and he is one of many in here with a chance; trip will tell the tale. (2) BATTLE MAGE debuts for new connections via claim and lands Zeron; interesting. (10) BAGS FOR ALL ships in for Burke and the mare could fit well with these.
Race 5
(3) LUMINOSITY has loads of back class and the Burke trainee seems way overdue. (1) SUMATRA woke up in a big way last out and can build off that effort. (11) MONROE COUNTY disappointed in last but the Banca trainee does fit with these.
Race 6
(2) SPEED IT is almost perfect this season and in his last local effort he was second best to Centurion ATM, who would blow this field away. (5) THE ROYAL HARRY gets a bit of post relief after a couple of solid efforts. (3) AMELIOSI looks for two straight but will have to be a bit faster today.
Race 7
(2) ARCHERY was a decent second last out to a runaway winner and he draws well in a field with no standouts. (3) ULTIMATE SHOPPER seems to have a chance with these but needs to behave herself. (6) FIRE IN MY HEART has Bartlett driving for Banca; threat.
Race 8
(3) XTATIC HANOVER generally races well when he minds his manners; maybe new driver Holland can keep him settled down. (1) KEEGAN HO gets class relief and shortens up to a mile. (2) HERE'S THE MAGIC had no chance last out; effort three back was good.
Race 9
(6) SHOWMEYOURGUNS returns locally off a sharp win at Monticello and he was facing much better when last seen at Yonkers. (3) MADMAN HALL tired in last after battling hard first over; Stratton drives again for Schnittker. (4) RUN AND TELL PAP did recently beat similar; threat.
Race 10
(3) CHARLES VII returns from Chicago and lands in the Banca barn while picking up Bartlett; only concern is the missed time. (1) STORMONT PARK tired in his last two at the added distance; this mile race should suit him better. (6) LAZARUS ships from Philly and may appreciate the change in scenery.
Race 11
(4) HERE COMES NUMBERS should be firing to the lead again and can take these the distance. (5) KEYSTONE ACE is still shut out on the year but has finished second five times. (1) THE MASTER is another who is winless but he draws best with the leading driver.
Race 12
(4) ITZAZIAM raced well enough in his debut for new connections to think that a win isn't far off. (2) CASSA'S IMAGE raced pretty well up at Monti in a needed start; threat. (3) TIME WILL TELL ALL is tough to endorse for the top spot but he can land on the bottom of the ticket.
