Race 1
(2) SOUTHWIND TERROR was a winner two back at this level, from this post and with Stratton driving. (6) JOHNNY Z had been racing well prior to missing some time; consider if the price is good. (5) SPENDABUCKONME drops in for a tag in his debut for new connections.
Race 2
(3) IRON was a commanding winner first out for Allard and I suspect he'll be able to handle the added distance. (8) METATRON doesn't have much early speed and he's stuck in the eight hole but he can close a ton with the right setup. (1) DEWDLE ALL DAY has made a nice living this season in these conditioned races and he looks for two straight.
Race 3
(9) PRIDECREST just got nailed at the wire from a similar spot at the added distance three starts back; big threat if he can work out live cover from the second tier. (4) SKATES N PLATES should be on an easy lead here and could try to take them the distance. (5) NORTHERN OBSESSION has licence to show more in her second start off the bench.
Race 4
(1) NOT AFRAID makes his third start on Lasix off two near-misses and is tough to pass on from this spot. (4) GLENFERRIE DREAMER has obvious talent for Pat Berry and chases big money today off two sharp efforts at Freehold. (3) SUMATRA gets some class relief and draws into a good spot.
Race 5
(4) PHAT STACKS showed plenty of vigor in that qualifier and the Buter trainee could be ready to fire at first asking in 2017. (3) PERFECT ROAD took a softer field coast to coast last out with Marohn and he can certainly repeat. (7) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN clearly got his act together at The Meadowlands but it's tough to ignore those two breaks he made here last month.
Race 6
(6) ALEX IN FRONT has shown the ability to unleash serious closing speed and the Lorentzon trainee could be within reach from this spot. (5) MAJESTIC MISTRESS is another one who's been going well recently from off the pace; obvious threat in this race with suspect speed. (1) ONTHEROAD DE VIE has hit the ticket in his last five starts versus similar.
Race 7
(10) LUCKY COLBY battled hard on the front end before giving way in his second seasonal start; prior to that he showed plenty from off the pace, which is where he'll be coming from today. (9) TOBER has class to him and should be able to show more. (3) TIRADE HANOVER ships in sharp from Delaware and he's raced decently here in the past.
Race 8
(5) LAUDERDALE toured the track last week but the start prior he was a sharp winner with Kakaley driving; price should be ok in this open event. (10) CHIPPS LAKE is fresh Allard stock via claim. (8) DEWYCOLORINTHELINE qualified nicely and is classiest here but it's tough to say how hard he'll be used in his seasonal debut.
Race 9
(7) ROSE RUN PARKER was very sharp in his seasonal debut and the Burke trainee loves to win, with 40 tallies in 61 lifetime starts. (8) RED HOT HERBIE is currently the best of the locals and I doubt Bartlett will be sitting last with him. (4) CRAZY ABOUT PAT has raced willingly in his theee 2017 starts.
Race 10
(3) HEMI SEESLTER really had no excuse to fail last week but he gets one final chance. (4) NEWCASTLE was just a touch overmatched last week in the Open after sitting a perfect trip; he looks like a big threat from this spot. (5) BUEN CAMINO was the play last week and he delivered but he faces tougher today.
Race 11
(5) STONEBRIDGE TONIC has been hinting at a good form cycle and he faces no standouts here. (1) IMTOOFASTFORYOU gets tested for class but he races well last week and he draws best here. (6) CARTOON DADDY was second best last week to a well-bet shipper.
