Best Bet: OUR ZAK WHITBY A (2nd)

Spot Play: COASTAL REGION (8th)

MEET STATS: 522 - 1473 / $2,831.40

BEST BETS: 75 - 129 / $244.30

Race 1

(3) ABNER THE GREAT has disappointed a bit in his last few at this level but he gets post relief and a switch to Brennan; worth another try. (5) KENRICK N was a good second at a big price last week for Cushing and his early speed could make him a player here. (1) DR DRAKE RAMORAY moves all the way inside and was a good second at this level from an inside post three back.

Race 2

(2) OUR ZAK WHITBY N was rebuffed by a tough rival after aggressively pulling pocket last week; he gets class relief today and Bartlett sticks with him. (7) BADIX HANOVER failed to get involved in his last couple from outside posts but he also drops in class and can be considered despite Bartlett going to the top choice. (5) ADONIS BAY has been racing pretty well in all recent facing claimers.

Race 3

(2) WESLYNN DANCER has really responded well in her last two with Kakaley driving and she figures to be a pretty good price from this inside post; worth a look. (2) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN has regained his form in a hurry for Allard after returning locally and he can handle the hike back to the top level. (7) NF HAPPENSTANCE has had an incredible year for Jack Parker, Jr. with almost $360K banked and obviously she has the speed to overcome the post; big player if not used too hard early.

Race 4

(6) CELEBRITY RUTH broke leaving into the first turn last out facing better but Brennan drives today and she can be a player if she behaves herself. (9) KINETIC KING can go with these and that was a very good qualifier. (4) SUMATRA is a classy money-making veteran who will come out of this event with a share.

Race 5

(9) CHESTNUT SCHOFIELD shipped down from Canada, joined the Allard barn and had a very useful local race; trotter can build off that effort. (3) TWO AM broke on the lead in his last local start but rebounded nicely with a win over at The Meadowlands; obvious threat if he minds his manners. (5) TOBER has Holland back driving in his local return and the veteran can be forwardly placed from this good midpack spot.

Race 6

(5) DOG GONE LUCKY has raced well here in the past and gets a massive driver upgrade to Stratton. (2) BLENHEIM has been lightly raced the last two seasons but he seems to have ability and comes off a sharp win at Philly. (3) FLUFF ME UP was dull last week out of town but raced well here two back for Allard.

Race 7

(2) ADAGIO DE LA TOUR was reclaimed by Banca and cruised on the front end; French import will be favored to repeat facing similar. (3) MUSCLES ON FIRE has been a complete failure this year but he recently moved back to the Erv Miller barn and he's shown signs of life. (5) ON THE PODIUM can leave the gate here looking for a smooth stalking trip.

Race 8

(2) COASTAL REGION has crushed in two straight out of town after moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn; trotter may have more to offer. (3) JUST FOR YOU was a big two-move upset winner upon arrival and the mare was Kakaley's choice. (4) LION SAFARI AS broke last out before he got going; he was very good the previous two tries.

Race 9

(4) FIRST CLASS ACT is another Smedshammer trainee getting Brennan in the bike today and based on her recent efforts the filly could fit well here. (2) SEVEN KNIGHTS has raced well in his last few starts with Holland driving and he looks for two straight. (1) CREDIT FRAUD goes for Abbatiello now and she's been close up in most recent.

Race 10

(3) MUSCLE AVE looked good reeling in the front-running (6) SHAWNEE BEAUTY upon arrival for DiDomenico and he stays in for the same $12,500 claiming tag. The latter went well off the Allard claim but could not seal the deal ; second best again? (10) TIME OUTA JAIL raced okay in his last two at The Big M with catch-drivers in the bike.

Race 11

(2) WINNING SHADOW has looked very sharp since moving to the Burke barn and he'll look to take another here at a short price. (6) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME has been holding his own versus some classy stock and he may not be that far back in this abbreviated field. (4) MEADOWBRANCH RICKY was second best to the top choice last out.

Race 12

(1) RUBBER DUCK returns locally off of two needed tighteners at Dover and this classy trotter can take these the distance in the 2018 finale. (4) LUMINOSITY raced well last week at The Meadowlands off the long layoff and the Burke trainee should be tighter now. (5) LE REVEUR N returns from Saratoga for Allard and has fit well here in the past.
