Yonkers logo

MEET STATS: 378 - 1100 / $2,070.00

BEST BETS: 50 - 90 / $164.90

Best Bet: PRETTY BOY HILL (11th)

Spot Play: WIND OF THE NORTH (1st)

Race 1

(8) WIND OF THE NORTH raced respectably in the Invitational last out, picking up a nice 4th place check. He looks best here despite the outside post. (5) LUMINOSITY has made a very nice living this year racing primarily at the Open level and he wasn't bad last week after getting shuffled. (7) TORNADO TIM was an upset winner last out for Allard and he should be a closing threat.

Race 2

(1) NOT AFRAID was never close enough to threaten last week despite the short field. Takter's classy veteran should be able to control things from this spot. (9) CAULFIELD didn't fire on the rim when last seen here but he followed that up with a sharp score at Pocono; Sears is back driving. (3) LUCK O THE IRISH beat up lesser last out and Bartlett sticks with him over a Banca trainee.

Race 3

(6) HEMI SEELSTER absolutely jogged up at Saratoga in his debut for the Milici barn. He steps way up here but seems more than capable. (10) XTATIC HANOVER ships in riding a three race win streak and note two back at Philly he was a winner at this added distance. (1) PIERCEWAVE HANOVER has obvious ability but has been erratic; use caution.

Race 4

(3) GAELIC AND GARLIC hasn't won since returning locally but he should be forwardly placed from this spot and could trip out in this tough-to-figure event. (8) CLEMENTINE DREAM is arguably best here but is coming off a break and now has to overcome the eight hole. (9) JUSTICE JET gets needed class relief but hasn't looked all that sharp.

Race 5

(5) ON THE PODIUM returns locally off a couple of sharp wins versus lesser out of town; veteran was an easy winner at this distance a few months ago. (2) LAUDERDALE has missed some time coming off a break but he's capable if ready. (6) CI'S BUCKEYE has jogged in two of his last three for Milici but he goes the longer distance today.

Race 6

(9) MOVEMENT has been sharp for quite some time now and she returns to the Allard barn via claim; she looks like the one to beat in here. (7) WARRAWEE ONYX gets needed class relief and he's shown live moves here in the past. (2) SIGNAL HILL OK exits the Amateur ranks and gets a driver upgrade.

Race 7

(1) VEGLIANTINO has been better in her two starts since moving to the Andrew Harris barn and this trotter could show further improvement today. (6) MASSIVE TALENT has beaten better than these in the past. (3) FOX VALLEY STEFFEN has hit the ticket in three of four at this level including two wins.

Race 8

(1) MUSTANG MACH N should win this race rather easily but won't offer any value. (3) AUTOMATIC SLIMS keeps Bartlett and will likely be looking for the pocket trip. (2) SPORTING THE LOOK returns from Monticello and was a close second when last seen here.

Race 9

(1) ALBERTO CONTADOR N dropped to the bottom and got the job done; he works his way back up the class ladder now and is more than capable of repeating. (7) BETTOREVER never got involved last week but he may try firing from the gate today. (2) ROCK TO GLORY drops, draws well and promises to be close up throughout.

Race 10

(5) BALLERAT BOOMERANG charged home in his last two starts, the most recent with Lasix added. 3-year-old may have more to offer. (2) WAR DADDY was uncovered into a quick back half and certainly didn't disgrace himself. (1) ROLL WITH FRED rode the former's live cover and kicked home nicely but he may be overbet in this spot.

Race 11

(1) PRETTY BOY HILL has put in six nice efforts after a dull local debut and the Alagna trainee looks mighty tough from this spot. (4) BRED TO RACE gets needed post relief after some no-chance efforts and the Burke trainee has hinted at ability. (5) SENATOR CHARLIE ships from Pennsylvania and merits a look.
